Nations can certainly change but they exist (or existed).

The Apostles went to the different nations, preached the Word and then the nations (groups of people united by common traits) adopted the Gospel or rejected it. Often times this acceptance or rejection created new nations.

Then the nations who adopted the Gospel brought the Word to other nations who had not yet heard it. And so on and so forth until it covered the whole earth.

Then one day it was determined that we should no longer have nations but instead loosely affiliated groups of random people with no allegiance to one another and who no longer share the common traits of a nation but instead only agree to all submit themselves to the same civil government.

Initially I was confuse also, but as I read more I realized that you must have been speaking of the person that was killed, not any of his killers.

My understanding is that that ‘Islam’ is more a direct translation to ‘to submit’ or ‘submission’.

I am assuming you know the verse in (NASB) John 1: 1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. I hope you understand that Christianity holds to the truth of a Trinity and puts Jesus Christ, the Word, on an equal footing as God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

This Word is also what Christians have in the Biblical texts, which is known as the Word of God. It is beyond merely being inspired. It has the power to give life to anyone reads it and believes.
