Wherever it was, I hope they got the proper permits first. Unauthorized dipping might disturb some species of amoeba.
And we can’t have that.
Nice! 89,000 drops to go!
Great Job!
Hollywood Reservoir
In the Whittier Hills fire of October, 1967, which came close to our home, a WWII—era B-17 and two TBM torpedo bombers were used to drop fire retardant. That blaze consumed 3,000 acres, but no homes.
Yes, but was the pilot ‘dei-certified’??? /s
(given the outcome, assuredly not)
I guess they still have some non-DEI pilots out there.
Did water have any wildlife like fish in it?
I can see some environmentalist complain that water shouldn’t be used because it kills animals.
Did i recall that someones diving flipper got stuck in the door on scooping up water.....>
Too Little Too Late.
If it was a ‘scooper’, it certainly wasn’t the LA reservoir
I don’t think the Hollywood Reservoir is big enough for scoopers.
The proximity to the Pacific pretty much assures that they’re using salt water.
To-wit (just found this):

Wow! No DEI BS there. You gotta know what you’re doing. Very impressive aim
Meanwhile, is this for real?!?
