Elon Musk ‘saved humanity,’ says starry-eyed UK Tory

LONDON — Elon Musk “may have saved humanity” by purchasing X, a senior Conservative spokesperson declared — as the U.K.’s main opposition party continued to try and catch the tech billionaire’s eye.

“The Elon Musk purchase of X may have saved humanity,” Shadow Business Secretary Andrew Griffith posted on the platform Musk owns Tuesday evening.

“With X becoming a true freedom of speech platform, the common ground of public opinion is no longer determined by a left-leaning elite,” he went on.

“Recent political earthquakes in the U.S., the U.K. and now Canada are a release of pent up democratic will as citizens regain their ability to speak freely.”

The high praise for Musk, who acquired X in 2022 and restored banned conservative accounts, including that of his future boss, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, comes as the the platform owner beefs with Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer and riles up its center-left government.

Musk has made frequent attacks on the Labour government over law and order, free speech and economic policy since it entered power last July — and provoked the ire of Starmer after he demanded the release of jailed far-right agitator Tommy Robinson.

I love what Musk has done and I thought the purchase of X was a huge factor in the election.

Some might say he goes a little overboard but I doubt many, if any here think that.

Andd if he did, I’d rather he go overboard a little on our side :)

??????? Maybe like a Herod or something. Elon is a provable pathological liar. Possibly one of the biggest sociopaths I have ever seen. He’s gone after countless innocent people. He’s hurt countless innocent people. Won’t even report like he’s supposed to when his employees get maimed or killed at his facilities, and he has more deaths and maimings than any other auto company. SpaceX similarly has 600+ maimings/injuries that he never bothered to report. Has no problem lying to the public, like with the fake Tesla FSD Paint it Black video, the fake Solar City presentation where he waved around fake solar panels. Fake Robotaxi promises for every year since 2017. Better buy now because every Tesla bought back then is supposed to be a Robotaxi that will pay you 30k per year (that promise is gone).

Elon is like the CCP or Mormon Church/Jehovah’s Witnesses of EVs. IOW, an organization that is constantly lying, has a cult of followers, and eats people up and spits them out.

Yikes well I pray he repents and wakes up! We need all that stamina and steam to be used towards something good. We can’t let Satan have him!

I doubt repenting is even possible for a guy like this. That said, I’m fully in favor of Trump wringing him like a wet towel for every thing he’s worth. Then discard him in the bin.

Funny how Democrats are moving farther away from ideals of democracy and ever closer to dictatorship and fascism. “Liberals” were once all about free speech and the rights of the individual, but now they’re all about state control and silencing of any speech that they view as uncomfortable.

After being fed a steady diet of leftwing propaganda by the BBC for years, I would think that, yes, a free speech platform like X would be refreshing.

The UK’s Deep State has a mad-on for Musk for very good reason.

The question is why don’t more UK residents feel the same way about their Deep State that Musk does.

I love what Musk has done and I thought the purchase of X was a huge factor in the election.

I thought it was a huge mistake at the time he was buying it. I thought it was excessively overpriced and not worth financially what he had offered to pay for it.

Subsequent releases of information about how badly run twitter was, and how economically deficient it was, convinced me that I was right, and he got screwed on the deal.

But as he turned it into a platform that would allow news and information to get around the wall of normal media lying and coverup, it has become priceless to the rest of America, regardless of it's financial profitability.

So too now do I see it as priceless to the world, because it finally gives free speech to the world, and in such a way the corrupt elite who govern in other countries can't stop.

I recall Musk discussing the placing of starlink internet satellites into orbit. He was asked by a reporter what the various speech censorship organizations around the world could do about censoring information if it is beamed down directly from space?

Musk said "They can shake their fists at the sky."

:)

I dare say that his assistance in stopping the liberals from controlling the presidency for this next four years will have saved far more people than any number you mentioned killed in accidents in his companies.

I don't care if he is a sociopath or a liar. (Which I don't believe.) He is the right man in the right place at the right time, and it is damn near a miracle that things happened the way they did.

I don't care if he is a sociopath or a liar.

You need to research him. Don't just sit on your ass and assume he's a good guy.

Steve Bannon evidently agrees with me, as he's calling Musk a "truly evil guy" and has vowed to take him down. I just posted a thread on the subject.

Re: Twitter free speech.

Elon allows non-stop Chicom propaganda to reign on the platform, and recently censored/shadow banned a large group of people who were criticizing him about H1Bs. Elon is also censoring on behalf of countries like Turkey and India, far worse than Twitter ever did.

The moment Trump turns on Elon, so does Twitter’s algorithm, but against Trump.
