Thhere were communities of Jews that never left the Land of Israel. They became known as Musta’arabim.
Groups of religious Jews immigrated in the late 1400s, and again in the 1600s, 1700s, and earlier in the 1800s. These Jews were there before political Zionism and intend to stay after the socialist Israeli secular aristocrats go away.

So long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people, a silly people - greedy, barbarous, and cruel, as you are.
Cruel is the main point here.
