My impression from listening to this is that Livelsberger was developing a serious undiagnosed mental illness and that he was experiencing the delusions and hallucinatory thinking that go with it.
His behavior looks unbelievable because it doesn't make sense, which is characteristic of the fractured logic of schizophrenia and related conditions.
The Green Beret had the highest top secret clearance available to anyone in the military.

He was a US Navy Seal.
His podcast started primarily interviewing military veterans.
Going back to men who invaded on D Day.
If he is having this on his show I would advise you educate yourself.
You will get more information watching his podcast than everything on the MSM including Fox combined.
