Over the past few years, conservative commentator Brett Cooper has made a huge number of videos at a YouTube channel which, until very recently, was called “The Comments Section with Brett Cooper.” That YouTube channel is run by the Daily Wire, which is, in turn, run by Ben Shapiro.
Here is one of Cooper’s videos from that channel, so you can see her style of talking in case you’re not familiar with her:

Cooper recently left the channel, and has been replaced with what is being referred to as “Temu Brett Cooper.” For those of you who aren’t familiar with Temu, it’s a Chinese online company that sells inferior knockoffs of actual real products. The name of Cooper’s replacement is Reagan Rohrbach. The channel has been renamed to “The Comments Section.”
Here’s a video by Rohrbach, so you can see that her talking style is an obvious imitation of Cooper’s:

Well, based on the viewer comments (and there are a huge number of them), pretty much everyone wants Cooper to return.
Here are some of those viewer comments:
“I would like to hear Brett’s true opinion on all this.”
“The more they try to ignore it, the worse everything will be, I can’t stand to see the comment section up and running anymore. It’s depressing without Brett.”
“So, whose here in the comment section just to read the comments about the comment section?”
“rip comment section we miss you Brett”
“They’re called The Comments Section and is ignoring their comments section”
“The elephant in the room isn’t getting any smaller”
“The only thing dying is The Daily wire views and subscribers. Ironic.”
“Here for the comments section not The Comments Section again”
“Clicked video, immediately clicked pause, goes straight to the comments… was not disappointed LOL”
Meanwhile, Cooper has started her own YouTube channel. And even though it doesn’t actually have any videos, it already has more than half a million subscribers, including myself. Here’s a screenshot of it:

Likewise, many people, including myself, have unsubscribed from the channel that now calls itself “The Comments Section.”
Brett talks almost as fast as Ben does.
So, then, the takeaway is that Shapiro hires women who talk like him.
*yawn*
Brett’s mom has been liking a lot of the negative comments about Reagan Conrad Rohrbach.
Reagan was one of Brett’s best friends, her producer, and the Maid of Honor at her wedding. Brett unfollowed her, Jeremy Boering, and DW itself.
/Some of Brett’s followers asked her to wear blue on her last show if she was being forced out. She says it was her own choice, but she wore blue.
What the DW did to Brett Cooper was disgusting. I also unfollowed “The Comment Section” and have subscribed to her new channel. Can’t wait to see what she does with it and if her method of presenting information changes now that she’s away from the influence of Shapiro and the others at DW.
Just a thought ... Brett has been married over a year and have moved to the country on a small acreage farm (I think). She had posted several shows recently showing accomplished women living in the country, making a household and raising their kids. It could be that she is in a family way and is looking forward to a calmer country life with her husband and soon arriving family.
Again, just a thought ... more power to her if this so.
I have no idea why BC and DW have parted company. There has been considerable speculation about it. A lot of commentators are blowing a lot of smoke. Candace Owens was a DW star but jumped the shark, especially with her rather amazing bizzaro world take on Israel, Gaza, and related issues; I can understand why she would become persona non grata at the DW. But everything seemed to be going great with BC.
Occam’s Razor sometimes yields the right answer. Brett Cooper had become a DW superstar, probably the biggest draw the platform had. I don’t really understand how the money flows in the YouTube and social media monetization world, but the simplest solution would be that Brett had gotten to the point at which she could probably go independent, jump to another platform, and make a lot more money.
My guess is that she was leaving a lot of money on the table at DW. She may have been wanting to be paid competitively — she’s young, most careers in that space are short, and she’s looking to build a foundation for life — and her (probably reasonable) salary demands were beyond the DW business model.
I would be sorry if that kind of negotiation got personal and friendships were damaged, but Brett would not be unreasonable in wanting to get paid appropriately. And Ben Shapiro would not be unreasonable in saying that the DW can’t afford that.
I respect what Ben Shapiro is trying to do at DW, and I particularly respect the fact that the DW gang wants to make independent movies that can establish a conservative beachhead in a movie business that has gone off the rails. The DW is not the only small independent studio that is very consciously trying to create conservative movies and other content. There have been many attempts over the years, and some of the overtly Christian studios have chugged along on the periphery of the MovieLand Borg for many years. No one has quite cracked the code yet.
I don’t know that the DW has the right formula either. I subscribed for a year, mainly to catch up on some of the films hiding behind their paywall, but I find that the free podcasts on YouTube cover most of the other content that I want to watch. I didn’t renew my subscription. I’m glad “Am I a Racist?” got a theatrical release and has become a financial success despite the best efforts of the Borg and the leftist press to ignore its existence. I think the DW paywall is likely a mistake.
Anyhow, I can understand Ben Schapiro trying to defend his business model. And I can understand Brett Cooper wanted to get paid. Matt Walsh, Andrew Klavan and Ben Schapiro are useful voices. Brett Cooper is a star. The business models might not mesh. I hope they can find a way to keep collaborating somehow.
She spoke faster and with more clarity than him.
Ego. /s
After a few minutes of listening to either one of them speak I zone out. Simply too irritating. I can not take it long enough to like or dislike their content.
Too many irritations in life to voluntarily seek out more.
Is that a deep Georgia drawl?
Is he trying to look like a tranny or fag on purpose?
Oh, wait...it IS a her/she!
OK, what is DW?
Daily wire...never mind! I’ve never seen or viewed it.
I hope she learns to slow it down a little when she starts up her new YT channel.
I feel exactly the same way, and pretty much did what you did.
Reportedly, they gave Reagan acting lessons so she could mimic Brett.Even her mannerisms!
Reagan shouldn’t try to be Brett. She’d do better if she’s just herself.
