Carrier strike groups are regularly in the Middle East.

I think five different carrier strike groups have taken turns in the ME the last few years.

Start seein’ two or more CVN’s in the area and somethin’ would be well and truly “up”.

The DDG’s, CG’s and subs come along as The Rest of the Battle Group.

...and I find it highly unusual for only ONE sub (and a “Boomer” at that) to be in that outfit. Those Attack boats are usually like ants at a picnic whenever the Bigs go out to play.
