I need to hear more, but my gut tells me this is all a play from the left to divide Trump from Elon and Vivek and perhaps the rest of us.

In short, the left seizes on an opportunity to try to throw a monkey wrench into MAGA in whatever way they believe they can, especially before Jan. 20.

I admit on the surface it sounds a bit tone-deaf, but I would invite Elon and Vivek to explain and further elaborate on the subject. Perhaps the devil is in the details, and in all honesty, I hesitate to hand the leftists any sort of a victory of any kind.

The only people doing the dividing here are the techbros. No one except for Musk and Ramaswamy (or their minions) are bad-mouthing real Americans and claiming we don’t have enough tech know-how right here at home. THEY kicked this anthill! We ABSOLUTELY have enough great American tech people, but Musk et al don’t want that. They want CHEAP LABOR that can have their visas revoked if they don’t comply with crap wages and treatment.

I have been working in tech since the 1990s and been very close to what is happening in this sector. I saw my beloved Valley get overrun with cheap and compliant visa immigrant tech workers who then gain citizenship and vote for Dims. Let me tell you definitively that tech leaders have been trying to screw over Americans for cheap labor for decades. Heck, look back over a decade and you can see the techbros smooching Dimocrats behinds because Dims were lax on immigration and they could get their cheap labor easily.

Now they realize that the American people won’t stand for Dims replacing them with foreigners, they pretend to align with President Trump, and then they spring this booby prize after he is elected.

It stinks and they have no business in determining how we maintain America’s sovereignty.

I believe you are 100% correct. By all means put the world's best minds to work Making America Great Again. I can support that as long as we focus on better educating the young minds already here so they will be able to compete with, and excel beyond, the current world's best minds in the future. We need to fix or eliminate both public education and immigration before we get too excited about bringing global talent into the country through work visas.

The problem is that every time they explain, they only make it worse. I've been reading the posts all day. Not two hours ago, Elon Musk used the phrase "Dunning-Kruger Effect" to describe his opposition. Condescending brat. And naturally, he's got fans who are calling us racist, nativist, all the things they should already know DON'T work on us anymore. Last post I saw was Elon saying that certain types should be "ripped root and branch" from the Republican party. If he was NOT referring to people like me, he needs to stop being coy about exactly who he meant. He also needs to apologize, which he won't do, and he needs to quit thinking he can tell lifelong Republicans who should stay or go and on what basis. Since he just got here and all. If he and Vivek don't watch it, Trump's going to boot them out before their job starts.
