Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy and the Silicon Valley Tech Millionaire Group Continue Lambasting Americans While Advocating for Expanded Foreign Worker Visas
The Last Refuge ^ | December 26, 2024 | Sundance

Posted on 12/27/2024 10:05:09 AM PST by SoConPubbie

Six months ago, I was asked my opinion of the Silicon Valley alignment with MAGA. I said at the time I thought it would last around 18 months and finally climax with a large fracture in the political movement around 2026. I had no idea at the time, the group of technocrats would begin publicly advocating for replacing American workers before Trump took office.

For the past several days I have watched Vivek Ramaswamy, David Sacks, Elon Musk and his big tech influencers debating with their followers about the importance for them to continue expanding H-1b visas for foreign tech workers. It is stunning to see this crew double, triple and quadruple down on advocacy, while defining American workers as inadequate for their Silicon Valley needs.

Alas, it is what it is. Within the argument Musk, Ramaswamy, Sacks and group have presented multiple justifications for their foreign worker assistance programs, while advocating for expanded immigration support therein.

Within the tone of their argument, they essentially say the American worker is (1) not intellectual enough; (2) doesn’t have the right work ethic; and the latest point of justification is that (3) American culture is to blame for their need to import foreign workers.

As Vivek Ramaswamy recently said, “Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer). That doesn’t start in college, it starts YOUNG.” Thus, as the narrative is sold, American workers need to be replaced with more culturally appropriate Indian tech workers.

When the Indian-American starts saying Indian culture is more adequate at creating workers for the American tech industry, he loses me completely.

If the Indian culture is the holy grail breeding ground for software engineers, then why isn’t New Delhi replacing Silicon Valley?

Considering that factually the Indian culture is entirely based on a caste system, the argument is even more absurd.

What we need are training and recruitment centers for American students. However, the larger issue within the billionaire tech team advocacy is an issue of self-interest.

What we see in the justifications and arguments of the Ramaswamy, Musk and Sacks group is a very specific point of immigration policy for their subset within a singular sector of the American economy. Perhaps this would not be such a big issue, if these points of advocacy were coming from outside government interest groups. However, with this tech team going into the administration, the influence becomes something a little bigger.

The part the Tech Group do not understand is the core of the American DNA, “Liberty“…

It is only from the position of liberty, intellectualism actualized in freedom form, that the working culture of America, the ingenuity part, can be understood.

If you attempt to quantify Americanism with math and algorithms, the translated outcome always fails.

Dear Vivek Ramaswamy, my counter take…

Several years ago, Florida Power and Light won the prestigious international Edward Demming Award for excellence in multi-platform engineering, efficiency superiority and total quality in the process of energy management.

However, the scruffy rednecks did not blow every PhD intellectual out of the water with slide rules, CAD programs, articulated and quantified quality improvement processes and engineering acumen. They did it with hard hats and dirty fingernails.

Because they lost the award, the jaw-agape Japanese spent 6 months visiting and reviewing FPL and later published a 1,000-page study essentially saying FPL “wasn’t really good, they were just lucky.”

You see, the reviewers couldn’t actually quantify the reason why the Florida-based energy company was so successful. In response the FPL field leadership laughed, took out magic markers and wrote on the back of their hard hats: “WE’RE NOT GOOD, WE’RE RUCKY.”

A few years later, every single Kuwaiti oil field was blown up by Saddam Hussein. Global analysts and think-tanks proclaimed it would take 5 years to cap them all off and restart the Kuwait oil pumping industry. Well, the Kuwaiti’s and Saudi’s called Texans, who had them all capped and back in working order in 6 months.

We are a nation that knows how to get shit done.

A few more years pass, and the Northern Chile mine workers were trapped two miles underground. The eyes of the world began to tear as the word spread. Most began to whisper no one could save them. Who did they call for help? A bunch of hick miners from USA coal country who went down there, worked on the fly, engineered the rescue equipment on site, and saved every one of them.

Yup, that’s our America. Ingenuity born from freedom.

Across the pond a half-breed Islamic whack job, armed with an AK-47 and a goal to meet his virgins, began opening fire on a train in France. The scruffneck Americans on board didn’t run to the nearest safe room and hide themselves amid baguettes and brie. They said, “let’s go”, and beat the stuffing out of that little nut with a death wish.

Legion d’Honneur or not, that’s us. WE ARE AMERICANS! That’s just how we roll.

In fact, Lady Liberty can stroll along the Champs-Elysées with a swagger befitting Mae West because without her arrival, they’d be speaking German in the Louvre. Yet, for the better part of the past decade, a group of intellectual leftists have been teaching our children that it’s better to be sitting around a campfire eating sustainable algae cakes and picking parasites off each other; because ‘save the planet’, or something similarly minded. It would appear, they hate the outcomes and inequities from freedom.

Warmest regards,

Americans First!

My BEST advice to @elonmusk @VivekGRamaswamy @DavidSacks and the Silicon Valley tech elites, is to keep talking. Just keep telling Americans how terrible they are and how they need to be replaced. Great Job.

Every time you guys open your typeset in public, @LauraLoomer grows a…

This FOREIGN WORKERS business is a weak spot with Trump… sadly it always has been and may well end up destroying his MAGA dreams.
…………………………………………………………………………………….
Or so you would have us believe. Actually it is you that may well end up destroying MAGA if you had your way.

Yes, I get it that YOU are a Chamber of Commerce “conservative” and think most Americans are stupid. Hey, let’s triple… no, quadruple the numbers of Indians we import. But at least make sure almost all the hiring decision makers are Indian. Oh, that’s right, they already are.

Regardless of what my particular skills are, hiring managers never see my skills. Because the Indians that have taken control of tech recruiting in the USA blacklist me because I am a white American. And even if they didn’t, many times the hiring manager is Indian also. It has now become a numbers game, which has a predictable outcome.

Musk knows exactly what he is talking about.

You don’t, given you never created even one multi billion dollar company in your life, let alone 7 like Musk has.

Ignore all of the factual posts by Laura Loomer on this thread by Its All Over Except ... to the detrimate of your argument position.

The appeal to authority is a bad way to argue your position on an issue.

In this case, ignore the facts from Laura Loomer to the peril of your position.

In short, just because Elon runs multiple multi-billion dollar companies, does not mean he is right on this issue and is not putting his own interests above MAGA in this instance.

Also, it does not take the experience of running a multi-billion dollar company to see that Elon is wrong on this issue especially if, as has been shown to be true:

1. Elon is hiring H1B employees at starting positions.
2. Elon has not promised to take care of American Engineers and Developers first.

Take it from an Engineer / Developer who has worked in the industry for more than 2 decades and has worked with many wonderfully talented foriegn engineers, Elon is wrong on this issue.

Elon is demonitizing conservative accounts right now that are criticizing him on twitter. Elon even agreed with a poster calling American workers too retarded to do these high tech jobs.

As for Elon the inventor, he’s never invented anything.

THIS POST……….is the post of the day, our kids are NOT being educated they are being indoctrinated I have one thing to say about all of this hoopla, Musk is putting his money where he can to help with the education FAILURE in the US, he is building and staffing STEM universities in Texas until we have another way to get our kids OUT of these indoctrination centers we have to face the facts that we have ALL SEEN for decades our kids are NOT being educated!! We can scream all we want HOWEVER we all know in our hearts that our kids are lacking in the drive for excellence and a TRUE drive for working endless hours to achieve a goal and get ahead!! I am NOT SAYING all of our kids are this way however a majority of them are just not driven to strive to be their best!! Until we achieve a mindset of excellence with our younger generation we can not fall behind other nations plain and simple!! Trump and Musk both have that extraordinary will to be GREAT at what they do, Trump’s kids have that drive, Elon’s kid’s will have that drive it is taught from a very young age!! I am NOT saying that Indian tech people are better at tech I am saying that the mindset of work is entirely different than in the US!! To add to this very long post I recently had to find a new DR. after 45 years my DR. passed away, I was STUNNED to find I could not find a DR. that was NOT of Indian decent, it was very disappointing BUT medical school is DAMN HARD not enough of American kids willing to spend endless hours achieving that goal!!

If most of the illegals shipped in by Joe aren’t deported in the next four years (as he brought them in in four years) with no federal $ going to sanctuary states to ensure compliance, and a lack of doing that is accompanied by the H1B issue not being addressed, as in all jobs should be offered to American citizens first, and the flood of H1B isnt stopped, then I wouldn’t be surprised if the GOP loses the House & Senate in 26 and a loss two years later as well to some Demtard. All for nothing then...

Expanding the H-1B visa program is vital to realizing the goals of the Trump MAGA agenda to bring manufacturing back to America.

Have spent much of my career swimming against the tide to keep high tech manufacturing at the forefront and in this country and have been dealing with the H-1B program for decades.

H-1B was originally intended to retain foreign top rank talent in our universities and to bring in talented, highly educated individuals with special skills not available in the US. In order to implement the Trump MAGA agenda we need to develop a much larger pool of very experienced, talented, industrious and well educated/well trained workers. Very few people truly realize just how much of America's once huge industrial base has been gutted over the last few decades of off shoring .

Entire industries that were pioneered and developed by America have been transplanted to foreign counties and have been largely wiped out domestically and have been gone for over 25 years.

Heck, many American industries have been gone so long most of the Americans who have any knowledge or experience in them are long retired and many are long dead.

America no longer has the institutional experience and tribal knowledge to compete in many industries that we created and once dominated. It's a sad fact of life that America is no longer the dominant technological leader at the forefront of many industries.

This is a serious problem for the MAGA agenda.

Trump has 2 years to get the ball rolling on MAGA to change the current culture and build broad based public support for MAGA or we will fail.

The primary reason we have a lack of technical talent is not because Americans are lazy or stupid.

It is more because we have off shored so much of our industrial base that there are is no domestic jobs market to generate demand for large numbers of highly educated, highly trained top tier talent.

It takes 15 years to educate and train a really qualified professional and after 40 years off shoring our manufacturing, our domestic labor pool has been beaten down to very low levels simply because our industries have been beaten down to similarly low levels .

In many cases, the levels are below critical mass to support a thriving industrial base in many areas. The reality is, we simply don't have the necessary bench depth in our talent pool to support a broad based renaissance in American manufacturing.

We barely have enough to keep what we have going.

Furthermore, bringing American manufacturing back to the United States will literally require bring manufacturing back to the US which will mean bringing at least the nucleus of the critical foreign talent that runs the operations to the US to train and re establish the operations

This has been a huge problem for the Taiwanese chip manufacturing companies and they have had to bring in far more of their foreign talent to the US to get things going than they anticipated. American manufacturing has been beaten down to dangerously low levels over the last 40 years and it is going to take a generation to rebuild our talent pool.

Until that happens , we are going to need to get the talent where ever we can and our only mechanism to do so is by expanding the H-1B visa program and running it with the appropriate oversight so it stays true to it's original intent and does get abused like it has been in the past.

These foreign H-1B holders are not going to take jobs from Americans, they are going generate jobs.

They will be key players short term in the establishment of our re shored manufacturing base and they will generate vastly more domestic jobs that the even a very expanded H-1B program would allow.

We are talking about the future of the country and if Team Trump fails the America Last crowd will win.

We need to have a highly motivated, highly skilled and hard working talent pool to ramp up America's industrial base at a huge, near WWII level of scale in a short term and at a very broad base of industries and technologies.

The only practical way to do this is to find the necessary skilled and talented individuals wherever we can.

To do this we need to acknowledge that America no longer has a monopoly on the very best world class talent and our talent pool has dried up due to decades of broad based technical and industrial decline.

We need recruit the best talent in the world from around the world make up for the short fall to come and contribute to America's revival.

We need to do everything we can to retain the top foreign talent in our universities, especially at the graduate and PhD level.

We also need to provide a mechanism to bring in foreign workers with the necessary talent and experience to provide the nucleus to build American organizations.

This is especially true for the foreign worker of foreign companies that wish to invest in United States operations.

While this is going on, we need to develop a space race style fast track program to educate and train Americans to re build what has been destroyed by the manged decline of our country. by our political class. .

“ If you want things built in America and not enough Americans are educated enough to do it, then you must import the talent needed until enough Americans can be educated to fill the demand.”
******************************************************************

Yes, I understand that you too are a Chamber of Commerce “conservative”. When will there be enough Americans available to “fill the demand”? I get that YOU don’t get that there will be NO DEMAND FOR AMERICAN SYSTEMS DEVELOPERS as long as all slots can be filled by low-cost imported Indians.

I had a great (and highly paid) career in complex systems development. In today’s world I wouldn’t be able to even get a start in the industry. My first step into the industry was being selected solely by taking an IQ test and passing several personal interviews. Once hired I was trained and developed skills and knowledge by increasingly complex on-the-job experience. Young Americans today largely do not have that same route UNFORTUNATELY because of the EASY availability of rudimentary trained Indians.

1. Its perfectly legal to employ H1B holders.
2. Its not Musk's business to “take care of American engineers and developers”.
Its not his job.
Why don't you create your own company and “take care” of American engineers?

BINGO... Tesla was not founded by Musk! Musk merely *bought* Tesla from two ***AMERICAN*** ENGINEERS, Eberhard and Tenning, who founded Tesla and invented its groundbreaking technology.

Now, Musk badmouths American tech people. He’s a leech and a snake.

Those of us who spent our lives in the tech industry know Musk’s only talent is buying up companies founded by American men and women who are the true inventors and innovators.

Sundress is purposefully confusing Apprenticeship jobs (turned into masters) with highly skilled Engineering jobs. There’s a Huge difference in the quality between the two in America. I’ve hired plenty of both. Musk and Ramaswamy are talking about Engineers coming out of school, and their first few years on the job. NOT builders, firefighters, and Tunnel Rats.

Tunnel rats, for example, in the US can’t be beat. But it’s 95% ojt. Not advanced college degrees.

Engineers here suck straight out of school. Even ones with Masters Degrees. They simply can’t do what the ones coming from Germany, India, Hungary, etc. can do at the same age.

Why? Because our high schools suck. Because our grademschools suck. Feriners are doing calculus in the 7th grade. American kids are watching hairy crossdressers twerk. Unions and blue states and DEI crap for decades means kids don’t know basic 3 R’s like they did 50 years ago. Hence college has been dumbed down.

The smartest kids, highest achievers, in STEM fields in College are foreigners. Plain and simple. Many on Visas.

Now do you want the best Engineers built designing your new Boeing? Well guess what? Very few native Americans are good enough to keep planes from falling out of the skies. It’s sad, but true.

I’ve had H1B dudes working for me, and they really Do appreciate America more than the dude texting on his phone all day. And accomplish more.

Sorry, but thems the facts. And Mark Bradman aka Sundress is once again throwing rocks in the wrong direction.
