I think it would be best to let Iran straighten itself out.

Israeli attacks on Iran might solidify Iran politically.

But the flip-side of that is, by not distracting the Iranian government with threatened or actual attacks, you might be giving the government the time and focus to be able to put down any threats.

Fair comment. Dictators often use external threats (real or imagined) to rally the population around the flag.

On the other hand, a few mysterious explosions at key points might work. After all, who can say exactly what caused them?

Best year ever! Yay 2024! All the right people are going down!

For years I've had a hypothesis (note that I'm not even calling it a theory) that year 2023 or 2024 might be what Daniel 12:12 refers as Israel being blessed in 1335 days (maybe years).

Reason: What if the abomination that leads to desolation (Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12:11) is the building of the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount? Some say that was year AD 688, most say year 689. Then 1,290 years (my take on the Daniel 12:11's "days" might be years) later is AD 1978 (the signing of the Camp David Accords between Israel and Egypt) or 1979 (the year the treaty went into effect). 45 years after those years (Daniel 12:12's 1,335 days/years) is AD 2023 or 2024.

Just a thought. Throw in Revelation 11:11's three and a half days. Perhaps days = years and a year = 360 days like 3.5 years X 12 months per year X 30 days per month = 1,260 days (years) (I've read a few people suggest that a "month" in eschatology is 30 days, not 1/12th of a 365 day year.) And if I'm right that Revelation 11 is a retelling of Daniel 12 and us westerners are too biased to consider Islam and the Ottoman Empire to be one of the empires in eschatology... then back to Dome of the Rock being started in year 688 or 689, and add 1,260 years to that you get 1948 or 1949. Israel was started in 1948, but the government officially began in 1949 (when David Ben-Gurion became the first prime minister).

Even if I'm right, and that's a big IF, just what does Daniel 12:12 mean by being "blessed"? I'm not saying it means that Israel is gonna kick Iran's butt so bad that Iran repents of their goat-fornicating sins and Israel will be in a long and stable peace. But it might.

Israeli attacks on Iran might solidify Iran politically.

When the Israelis attacked Hezbollah and went into Rafah, the U.S. State Department, CIA, and Defense "Intelligence" thought they were making a huge blunder. They should have used their Intelligence Professionals Superpowers to express their opinion about Hunter's laptop.

There may never be a better time to cripple Iran's nuclear program. Burn the mother to the ground. Make the rubble bounce The hardware that Israel attacked in Syria was bought and paid for by Iran, with money they got from the Obama-Biden administrations. The attacks on Assad did not rally the Syrians behind him. Quite the opposite, they said "We don't need this Shiite." (Even though he was an Alawite.)

I read somewhere, that when the Israelis did in Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, they hit his bunker with sixty missions. He may have thought he was buried deep, but not deep enough.

I’m skeptical of reports saying Revolutionary Guard losing control.

I think it is slowly happening.

But a lot of reports on Iran or on China with the despotic regime about to topple are a bit too much wishful thinking.

But not without a kernel of truth.

With Trump about to enter the picture, I doubt that Erdogan will try to reconstitute the Ottoman Empire at this time. Israel needs to wipe out the Ayatollah leadership of Iran.

Or highlighting the weakness of the mullahs might finally end them.

Without Obama in office to support them like he did during the Green Movement in 2009. Without Obama to hand them money like he did in 2016.
Without Obama to hand them money like he did in 2023.

This time the people of Iran might finally free themselves.

That’s a Western viewpoint.

Maybe half of Iran are Persians, with suicidally messianic Twelver Shias a minority of that. Iran is a multi-ethnic cauldron ruled by a repressive cult, not really a nation-state that commands any loyalty that’s not purchased.

It’s a predicate verb. A lot of languages don’t even bother with it, such as Hebrew, Russian, Arabic and I think Chinese. In Ancient Greek it’s optional. But even in English, the plural is “are”. Why?

How so? The Iranian people want the Mullahs dead, and if they have to die to achieve that end, they have said that is a sacrifice they are willing to make.
