Now why would extraterrestrial aliens use drone technology, for anything?
“Now why would extraterrestrial aliens use drone technology, for anything?”
___________
Exactly.
It’s like all the ancient buildings built from well-fitted stone. The goofy ask, “How could primitive people have done this?” It must be aliens from space!”
I reply, “You’re gonna tell me that a race capable of interstellar, superluminal travel don’t know how to make concrete? Show me a 7,000-year-old building made of reinforced concrete and we’ll discuss alien technology”
The proposed explanation for that in the "Alien Introduction" story is that aliens are using what would appear to be technology that is comprehensible to us, in order reveal themselves by frequent appearances without causing destructive turmoil in our societies.
It is an entertaining idea for a science-fiction story. And if all the other explanations fail, perhaps this one may be true after all.
I still prefer this story "The Road Not Taken" by Harry Turtledove. It has a somewhat different line.
