New photos of ageing RINO Mitch McConnell being carted around in a wheelchair have become the symbol for the need for term limits.
McConnell was caught being pushed around in the wheelchair by a member of his staff after falling at the GOP luncheon on Tuesday.
The photo has promoted calls for McConnell’s resignation and term limits.
Here’s the photo:

Many on social media are now demanding Mitch retire.

I’d like to see the Senate seniority system go away. No reason why one Senator should be more powerful than another that hasn’t been in office as long. This system makes it harder to run against a long standing Senator that has accumulated such political clout (preferred committee assignments and such). Probably much the same in the House.
Hahhahaha! We need video of that!
LOL!
I guess it would be too much to expect the American voter to pull their head out of their a$$ and quit re-electing these fossils.
Just like Dianne Feinstein. ANOTHER crooked, compromised, sensecent, fossilized career officer holder, McConnell will hang onto his office, stuffing his pockets, screwing America and Trump, and directing his puppets in the Senate. REDUCED TERM FOR SENATORS AND TERM LIMITS.
Good Lord there have been many people in congress in wheel chairs, Diane Feinstein was in a wheel chair at the end.
Decent parody of Ironside.
I actually like Ironside though. A lot of the episodes have good writing and catchy music plus 4 seasons with Barbara Anderson.
If Congress mandated a test on entry I’m not clear that would be unconstitutional. I’m also not sure that a health/mental status exam would be barred. Certainly the POTUS has one & that’s not enumerated in the Constitution. There is already an ethics committee and IDS why there couldn’t be members that are not congress critters .
Okay lets have a comprehensive Amendment for Term Limits.
6 , 2 year term for House
2 6 year terms for the the Senate.
20 year term for USSC
1 single 6 year term for President
I would say she may be pretty much finished at this point, although she is so mean she just might recover.
I agree. She’s likely to spend a few years in a wheelchair in the Capitol building.
Why can’t these vile people retire like normal, decent people? We know the answer to that.
Lol
The Sun is setting on the ancient American politburo members leading the Deep State. Pelosi broke her hip and McTurtle keeps glitching and is being rolled around like a keg of beer.
It would sound almost (?) unconstitutional to put the choice of a state’s senator in the hands of anyone outside the state.
McConnell and Pelosi both should be in nursing homes, not in Congress.
That's because he and other RINOs knew that was the one issue they couldn't screw the base over on.
McConnell absolutely was in on sabotaging Trump's ability to pick his own AG and FBI director, the Russian collusion lie and on the J6 framing of Trump and the protesters.
He helped kill the wall in the first two years of Trump's first term.
He's led the charge on funding the proxy war in Ukraine.
Not anymore. Legislature in KY just took over that power.
Ok in what branch of government would this competency board be placed? Executive, judicial, legislative or would it be a fourth branch of government?
If placed in executive or judicial it would violate equality and co-supremacy of the branches. If placed in legislative it would have higher sovereignty, then the Congressional houses since it decides who is fit and who isn’t. Higher supremacy then the people who elect them!
If you make it a fourth branch of government then if its competency review would still override legislative independence. If its competency review was applied to judicial and executive it would be sovereign over those branches. It would be sovereign over all! Again, violates a key US Constitutional principal independence and equality of the branches.
I haven’t even gotten to the problem as to how this board is picked, terms of service, and standards of serving on it. As well as exam construction & grading standards.
Anyway, it requires a Constitutional amendment, and in this case, it would force a major restructuring of our Constitutional government. Far easier and less violence to the Constitution to either require term limits or repeal the 17th Amendment. Repealing the 17th at least gets us back to the Founding Father’s intended relationship between FedGov and states.
