Actually, there is an album called “Thrillington” by Percy “Thrills” Thrillington that came out in 1977, though recorded in 1971. It’s a Big Band/Orchestral instrumental album that covers every song on Ram. It’s a wonderful album. The Big Band version of “3 Legs” is truly outstanding.

Now in case you didn’t know, Percy Thrillington was in fact an incognito Paul McCartney working with a team of musicians to produce this. But when it came out, very few people knew this and the album was more or less ignored. It’s a shame. The original Ram album is a masterpiece, but this Big Band version is really fun stuff too.

Ram is my all-time favorite ex-Beatle album.

Monkberry Moon Delight is Paul doing his best Zappa impression.

One of the first albums I ever bought as a kid, and still my favorite Macca solo album.

I saw wings in the Piazza San Marco when I was in the service in the late 70s. What a great concert!
