In a fascinating interview by Alarabia News on Youtube, Errol Musk, Elon Musk’s father, explains how Elon Musk moved from being a Democrat to being a fervent Trump supporter. Errol Musk lives in South Africa, where Elon was born and raised.
“I live in a sort of real world. I’m not in America. I live in a world where, unfortunately, you have to walk around armed all the time. A dangerous place.”
Elon’s father says Elon will do a wonderful job of cutting federal government expenditures. He says:
“Elon will look at the whole thing from the top to the bottom.”
“People like myself has been looking for this for years!”

If I lived in south Africa I’d look like RoboCop!
Armed in South Africa ... I called on a major paper mill while in S.A., I was amazed when we went through the gate to the mill that the visiting people were asked to check their firearms. They put them up on a numbered peg on a board and gave the “holder” a ticket for that numbered peg. I had been traveling with my South African friends for almost a week and was amazed when they all handed over a firearm at the gate entrance. I had no idea they were carrying. They carry guns there like you and I here in the States, carrying a wallet or purse.
I’d get one of these cars. It’s built in South Africa, and meant to deter carjackers.
Interesting...South Africa has very strict gun laws. I shoot benchrest and my gunsmith has chambered barrels for some South Afican friends. They are only allowed to have one barrel for each gun. I typically chamber 1-2 barrels each year for each of my guns...I just won’t shoot a barrel with over 900 rounds in a big match.
I wonder if this is a recent change. I recall conversion kits for 1911, in .22 LR caliber were popular in SA at one time, because they were limited in how many firearms they could obtain permits for.
I was told, by a person who had spent some time in SA in the last few years, that obtaining a permit for a firearms was as simple matter of having the correct connection and cash.
In other words, corruption was rampant, and you could use a bribe to get a permit.
I don’t blame him one bit. And I bet you his son has hired the best security possible for his dad. I know if my son was one of the richest man on planet Earth he would not let me roam the streets unarmed or without bodyguards. Wonder how it feels to be the son of one of the most influential richest man on the globe? I will never know how it feels to be a millionaire here on earth …geez I’m still struggling to buy eggs! Lousy eggs are almost 4 bucks a dozen! My holiday baking has been cut in half.😠
May be different for handguns. The barrels are hidden by the slide. Rifle barrels are exposed. Not sure, but I’d bet the barrel number has to match the action serial number. I know that when the SA guys come over here, my buddy would chamber them a new barrel with the same number as the old barrel.
Having visited South Africa...recently...and having witnessed an armed carjacking (in broad daylight) I can guarantee that SA is one of the most violent nations on earth. Of course sane citizens will want to be armed.
Elon came from really good and sturdy root stock. I like his dad.
Do you own a home/property? With the way housing prices have been going, you might be a millionaire and not know it!
Inflation has made being a millionaire somewhat common.
I have been reading an Elon Musk biography. Very high IQ on both his mother's and father's sides of the family.
WTH doesn’t he MOVE to AMERICA!!!
South Africa was America’s future if we had continued down the dystopian non-stop immigration road. Deputize me now.
But we stopped whites from being meanies to black oeople
It’s all good
Who cares the end result
Kind of like Jackson Mississippi
My hometown
Its nirvana now
Things could get a lot worse than the currently are here in the US.
“South Africa is far further down the socialist/communist slide into terror and dystopia than the United States.”
Zulus make up the majority of the police, military and private security companies. About 10 years ago when the ANC threatened to take Zulu lands, Zulu Chief Goodwill Zwelithini said he would squash the ANC like bugs. The ANC commies crawled back in their ratholes.
I suspect there’s various power plays going on in SA that we aren’t aware of.
