Video description at youtube:
Megyn Kelly is joined by Pete Hegseth, President-Elect Trump's Secretary of Defense nominee, for an exclusive interview about what Trump told him this morning, why he's speaking out and fighting the false media narratives now, whether he thinks this is another "Brett Kavanaugh" situation, the importance of him "finding my two Js," the accusation of rape, what really happened, the settlement he reached with the accuser, how the media spins allegations and leaves out exonerating details, finding Jesus as his savior and changing his life, reports about excessive drinking, the allegations of his actions in a strip club, the accusations of financial mismanagement at veteran organizations, his actual record when it comes to helping vets, the emotion he feels seeing his former Fox colleagues defend him, the smears against him and whether it makes others reluctant to serve their country, why he'll continue fighting to stay as the nominee and welcomes an FBI background check, what he'd do on day one to reform the military, the email that was made public from his mom, the important role she has played in his life, and more.
There are shorter video segments that capture most if not all of the hour long video. Here they are (links to the videos at youtube):

Why Pete Hegseth Welcomes an FBI Background Check and What He'd do on Day One as Defense Secretary 12:18
I watched the entire video last evening. It is a home run.
Pete addresses each accusation in detail and how they take one minute event and extrapolate it 8nto a smear story with lies.
He identifies the source of the lies as she left her meta data in her anonymous complaints.
He admits that he was a pers9n who he didn’t like in his first two marriages, but explained that Jen, his current wife influenced him to become a Christian in the experience rather than just words several years ago.
He explained that he is open and honest with Trump and Trump fully supports him.
Sorry but the MAGA movement is bigger than one person outside of EL Trump.
There are others that will do just as fine a job and maybe better.
Time to move on from him and promote those in the party who will bring more to the table for the movement.
The media soiled itself so much during the election (”Biden is sharp as a tack,” “Kamala is intelligent/eloquent,” and “Trump is Hitler”) that their accusations about Pete don’t carry much weight.
Thankfully, Trump and Pete are more determined to win than you are.
I support Hegseth and deeply regret that Greg Kelly chickened out on this the other night.
The letter from his mother during a divorce, which she apologized for, is a complete cheap shot and nobody’s business.
The “rape” allegation made no sense at all and was either crazy or a premeditated hit job. Someone here said they thought the woman was lying to her husband or boyfriend.
I worked at a place where a woman did exactly this to a young guy. He was sitting in jail with his life ruined, until she left a crying voice message on his phone about how she “had to” lie to her boyfriend that she was raped, to cover up what she did.
This stuff happens.
So it sounds like he was a jerk during much of his life and found Jesus and changed his ways. So perhaps the letter from his mother did spell out the truth at the time.
I’m not sure if you understand that literally anyone who wants to fix this rotten, corrupt system of ours is going to be viciously smeared in the same exact way. The days of our side being so weak and easily intimated by these left-wing scumbags needs to end, now.
Thank you for posting this.
Before I saw this video, I supported Pete Hegseth 100% because in my heart, from what I have heard, that even though he engaged in extramarital activity and drank heavily, it isn’t who he is now.
I am on the road to becoming a true Christian, and the journey isn’t an easy one for me. When he made that statement that “many people miss Jesus Christ by 12 inches in their life” (being the distance from the brain to the heart) and I am trying to close that distance.
I attend a Christian Men’s Group, and the topic of “forgiveness” was up for discussion at the last meeting. It hit very close to home, but one of the most impactful aspects we discussed was the understanding that in the eyes of Christ, you are worthy of being forgiven your transgressions, even though you may not think so yourself. As long as you accept him. In other words, God doesn’t NEED you.
God WANTS you.
That was a very powerful message for me to hear in my efforts to close that twelve inches of separation between my head and my heart.
In this video where Megyn Kelly interviews Hegseth, he talks about his past infidelities and the accusations of rape against him, he talked openly (to my ear) and explained what those accusations of rape were all about, and when asked about his infidelities, he said honestly yes, he had been unfaithful, but that wasn’t who he is now.
In that context, he questioned whether the mistakes one has made in life must forever define who we are, and if they don’t define us forever, why should those things disqualify someone from serving people in any given function?
As someone who has made many mistakes in my life, I often ponder that very question. And in the context of being a Christian, it is a very powerful train of thought.
Still a long ways to go before confirmation, but Hegseth and his mother, wife and Team Trump may have saved his nomination yesterday.
Are you still beating your kids for something they may have done 7 years ago?
After all the liars, cheaters, and misfits that Biden put in charge, Hegseth is not a difficult sell.
I’m totally ashamed of the 6 Rinos, who are no better than he, publicly obstructing this process.
Even if they come around, and confirm in the end, I say primary each and every one of them. This can’t go on.
One thing democrats do, is align in lockstep, and get things done. Republicans seem to have a mental block, and that needs to change.
I think Trump should go to the wall for Hegseth, whatever it takes to get him in. Screw the lying democrat media, this is no time to fold.
Deep State attacking and smearing a white hetro male for behaving like a white hetro male.....
A fighter as Secretary of Defense is far better than a wimp who turns and runs in fear.
Your appeasement strategy is how the RINO’s got us into this mess.
I guess we will just have to muddle through this without you.
Even if you don’t like Hegseth, it hard to get any worse and stupider than current Biden dei appointee Lloyd Austin. He is the male version of Kamala, empty-headed and spouting the required leftist buzz words on cue. Brainless, and only appointed because he is “of color.” The worst possible requirement for a Defense Secretary.
Ditto that.
You seem to have a personal problem here. Maybe you should go talk to somebody.
All I can say is we’ve all (likely) had periods in our life that upon reflection, we weren’t the best version of ourselves. Who doesn’t look back and think ‘I really didn’t like who I was back at so and so a time?’
I’m as nerdy as they come and even I have a few awkward regrets. I can only imagine what a person with a ‘large personality’ looks back on when they have the wisdom of time and maturity in their head.
Making mistakes is part of life’s journey. Who among us is so perfect to stand in judgement? He’s grown and matured like most of us on this site have. Hegseth seems like the perfect guy for this job.
Yes!!!
