I am not much of a fan after he Robert Wagnered his wife, but I have to admit I hope I look as good as him at 92 or is it 93 now?
Both he and Van Dyke came out as Democrats.

It is pretty cool. I felt like I was watching a cross between the final scenes from “2001: A Space Odyssey” and the little “mind journeys” that Luke and Rey underwent in Star Wars. But from Kirk’s point of view.
The Critical Drinker and Dave Cullen—two of my favorite Youtube movie/media/nerd-culture reviewers—give them high marks. I don’t know what they mean. Perhaps the Original Series is finally over but Star Trek will carry on to “explore strange, new worlds.”
LOVE the man. Couldn’t care less if he’s a Dem as he’s one of the few reasonable and rational ones. Adore him.
Heart and soul Trekkie here.
As for his wife, dirty rumors from gossip lovers.

Final autopsy results show that Nerine Shatner, the wife of “Star Trek” star William Shatner, had been drinking heavily and taking sleeping pills the night she died in the swimming pool of her Studio City home.
The former model and aspiring actress, who had two drunk-driving convictions and had been treated several times for alcoholism, had a blood alcohol level of .27 percent, more than three times the legal limit for driving, according to autopsy results released Tuesday.
Authorities believe Nerine Shatner dove into her swimming pool, slammed her head on the pool bottom and drowned. The autopsy report said she had bruises on her face and two cracked neck vertebrae consistent with banging her head on the pool bottom.

I’m done with everything Shatner after he came out and cried about us electing Donald Trump.
It WAS incredible seeing Shatner as he appeared 50 years ago, and Spock in any shape, but I did not understand the whole thing. Was Kirk visiting Spock on his deathbed? And why was Kirk young and Spock old?
Some of the walking bits look weird but other parts look perfect.
I know Shatner came out as a liberal, I think Nimoy did too, but this little clip made me cry. It was, finally, the send off both characters (and TRUE Star Trek fans) deserved.
How do you see it? Everything on youtube I click on is people talking about it.
Thank you for posting. I could never get enough Star Trek. It was so uplifting and intriguing. The imagination could run wild. I miss those days, and I have many fond memories. I still have my uniform! Gene Roddenberry was a genius.
Here’s a decent discussion, including information on Sorak.

Honestly, it’s a rather boring and plodding short movie. Yeah, I watched it, hungry for Star Trek. But it’s really just another hollywood scifi glowing view of the afterlife, using the Star Trek world as its vehicle. And although Spock dies waaaay later than Kirk, Kirk can go to the afterlife after he’s histoire and bam, there’s Spock still alive, but old, presumably dying (? too)? And why focus on Saavik? Why not Carol Marcus, or Kirk’s own son? Or the hot Romulan Female Captain he tricked into letting him get the cloaking device? Etc. Nah, coulda shudda wudda been better, with a little more effort.
