Anyone planning to go to the inauguration?

Is anyone planning to attend the inauguration?

I debated in 16, but decided to stay away knowing the left was going to create chaos.

This time however I am seriously debating attending.. curious if anyone else was?

I went in 2008 2012 2016. The usual welcome celebration the night before at the Lincoln Memorial is the best part. Safe, Family friendly and less crowded huge fireworks show and marine band playing patriotic music. The inauguration ceremony is hard to view without tickets. I went for GHW with a ticket and it was crazy couldn’t see anything. The parade is a crush event, very cold long and boring.Good luck message me if you have questions.

Good ole Rodney Dangerfield. He was one of the great ones. I remember him on Johnny Carson. I wasn’t allowed at the time to stay up and watch, but I could hear him on the TV. I think it was a better experience listening. Of course, some of the jokes went over my head but he was still funny Aszhell.

The only time I would ever set foot in DC would be to visit the flight and aerospace museum at the Smithsonian; otherwise never!

I’d be reluctant only because of what Rat Party “progressives” might have planned. I’ve seen him at four rallies so I guess I’ll have to settle for that.

I’ll say it now as I’ve said from the beginning; there will be no liberal left chaos. Think about it. They have nothing to gain and will only lose what tiny amount of anything that they have remaining. They have tried every crooked trick there is and look where they are. The only thing that they can now do is just survive and inspiring unrest may very well finish them.

Is the FBI going to put up gallows and place bombs like January four years ago?

Do what we did in 2016....had our own Inauguration Party in Salem, Oregon...it was a blast...and County GOP even made some bucks.

I remember him on Johnny Carson.

I just watched one of Dangerfield's appearances on the Tonight Show this morning. Hilarious. I was looking for (but didn't find) the one where Dangerfield was telling a story about Carson as a young boy growing up in Lincoln. Carson corrects him and says it was Omaha. Without missing a beat, Dangerfield comments: "Yeah, like that's better." I thought Johnny Carson was going to damage some internal organs he was laughing so hard. Those two could really get each going.

I went to Reagan’s first inauguration in 1981, having gotten tickets for a pretty good viewing spot. The closest I could stay to DC was Fredericksburg, Va., about 50 miles away, but Inauguration Day in DC is a holiday, so there wasn’t the usual commuter traffic driving in.

I parked in Arlington and caught the Metro to the site. Afterwards, I had lunch at the Hawk ‘n’ Dove on Capitol Hill.
