You can do a quick search to see how that works. To be honest, I think every state should do the same thing Maine and Nebraska do when it comes to allocating electoral votes. I respectfully disagree. That would render the electoral college moot.

How so? There would still be 538 electoral votes among the states. They would just be allocated differently.
