What is your “surprise” state that Trump wins this election?
A state that most wouldn’t expect Trump to win, but you think he will.
I’m more pessimistic, so a win in Wisconsin or Michigan would surprise me. Nevada would really surprise me.
However, of the states that are by consensus blue, I think that if today is really good he’ll pick up at least one of Virginia, New Hampshire, Maine or Minnesota. Nice part of carrying Minnesota is that Trump will certainly carry one or both houses of the legislature with him and the advance of the DFL reign of terror will be halted. Walz will still have two more years of terrible laws and regulations to enforce, alas.
It won’t produce any EVs, but the real shocker is going to be how much better Trump does in blue states. The popular vote is going to be much closer, maybe even a win for Trump.

NJ goes red.
I was a Republican official in Lake County until 2002. A Congressional Aid and I tried to warn the Lake County GOP that new construction would flip the county, and they needed to start an outreach program. We planned a significant community outreach event to highlight what people liked about Lake County. GOP leadership resulted in low taxes, low fuel costs, etc. The old GOP hacks thought I was crazy and spent more time discussing the upcoming golf tournament. They refused to consider supporting an event other than their annual golf outing. I did not run again, and in 2004, Obama flipped Lake County just like I warned them would happen.
It’s hard to call when the democrats are holding the loaded dice.
There’s rumbling about a late Trump surge here in NJ, but I don’t think Emperor Philip the Mendacious would allow Trump to actually win the state.

This lines in Chicago to vote are MASSIVE I can not believe that ANYONE would stand in lines like that for Harris, people in Chicago have been BEYOND PISSED Chicago citizens said they were going to turn Chicago red God Bless them if they do!!
They may pull off a win in DuPage. Lots of Trump signs here.
