There's an old story, known all over the world, about a fella that had to make a judgement call over the 'rights' of a mother and the life of a child...
1 Kings 3:16–28 recounts that two mothers living in the same house, each the mother of an infant son, came to Solomon. One of the babies had been smothered, and each claimed the remaining boy as her own. Calling for a sword, Solomon declared his judgment: the baby would be cut in two, each woman to receive half. One mother did not contest the ruling, declaring that if she could not have the baby then neither of them could, but the other begged Solomon, "Give the baby to her, just don't kill him!"
The king declared the second woman the true mother, as a mother would even give up her baby if that was necessary to save its life, and awarded her custody. This judgment became known throughout all of Israel and was considered an example of profound wisdom.
Even when one is perfectly possessed, those Three Words trigger it to reveal itself.

Thank you. I was thinking about that verse after thinking about how Jesus would view abortion. I didn’t have the verse in front of me as I was contemplating it. And then it struck me that the one woman wanting the child being cut in half was so over the top that it might just be a fable. Of course that doesn’t fit with my belief that everything in the Bible is true.
I forgot that the women were both in the same home and both had infant boys. So the woman wanting the child cut in half makes sense. If she couldn’t have her child the other woman shouldn’t either. (Jealousy, vindictiveness, etc.)
