The problem is we do not need a new border bill; we simply need to enforce existing laws that are being ignored.

We need more border patrols and surveillance. Read the bill, there’s a lot to it.

The existing laws are too oberous: illegal immigrants are not allowed in. The bill would have paid for 1500 new BP agents — less than 1 per mile for our southern border! — and allowed up to 1,825,000 illegal immigrants to come in.

It probably would not have changed the TPS situation; the Temporary Protected Stars seems to allow people from Haiti and Venezuela apparently unlimited entry, and possibly also people from Cuba and Nicaragua. All the rest, it seems, are permitted to apply for asylum, conditions for that unknown.

Thus they are considered “legal” immigrants, which is probably why Walz said the numbers were double under Trump.

Sickening.
