This was back when she was the San Francisco DA, and Cali was abuzz with the then-fashionable (in leftist circles) gun grabs:

1) a program modeled on the state's PC290 registrant system, but for persons convicted of "firearm" offenses and
2) an even more radical proposal to enact an Australian style gun owner registration and "safety check" system.

She's referring to the latter in her comments. This was a bridge too far even for California at the time, and never gained any real traction, but the "prohibited persons" task force was, and is something that California has been doing for several years now.

These people are dangerous and powermad.

They're basically the Terminator.

They can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with. They don't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are enslaved or dead.
