CNN‘s Juliette Kayyem voiced concerns that the multiple attempts on former president Donald Trump‘s life could help him politically and propel him to the White House.
Kayyem had a strange choice of words to describe the assassination attempt against the former president, calling the situation a “problem” and “unfortunate” – that is to say, a problem for the media and Democrats.
Authorities arrested 58-year-old Ryan Routh after the Secret Service noticed his AK-47-style rifle as he hid in the shrubbery only a few hundred yards away from the former president at the Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach, Florida.
Unsurprisingly, Routh was also found to be a Democrat donor with a long and colorful criminal history, the New York Post reported.
“And I really don’t care what you feel about him, or Harris,” Kayyem said on the network late on Sunday.
“I mean, this is, this is the expectation that he will be safe.”
Kayyem continued:
“And the reason why this is, you know, in some ways, you know, you said how close the election is, the problem is this is a safety issue that is being thrown into a very intense political environment in which the very fact of an assassination, a constitutional moment because it’s, it could have impacted voters, will be used for political purposes.”
“And that, to me, is, is just as not as a, you know, exceptionally unfortunate, because whatever your beliefs are, we do deserve to have campaigns that are not part that where violence isn’t being used as either a sword or a shield,” she added.

Similarly, MSNBC host Alex Witt raised concerns over Trump’s response to the second assassination attempt, warning about his so-called “rhetoric.”
“Do you expect there to be calls from within the Trump campaign to do that?” Witt asked, referring to the possibility of “toning down the rhetoric.”
MSNBC political analyst Elise Jordan responded by comparing past incidents and their impact on political tone.
“Remember back to the assassination attempt from President Trump’s life and how there was talk of a new tone and the Republican convention was, by Trumpian standards, muted,” Jordan noted.

The media’s first talking point is not about the safety of the Republican candidate and former president of the United States, but rather how the attempt on his life will give him an advantage over his opponent.

It has been a deliberate calculated thing to cause this and they are saying Trump is responsible for what they are, in fact, doing.

They are upset because the failed attempts make it more likely for him to win the election.

I figured last night that they would be saying he staged it to get higher in the polls.

Disgusting how CNN has no mention about Trump’s safety, it’s all about how he might gain advantage over Dems! Enemy of the people!
The first attempt pushed people to the Trump side and doubtless this latest has done the same.
The real problem this twisted klown has is that neither assassin was successful.
gee call a guy hitler, a russian operative and a threat to democracy and then wonder why people try to kill him.

It tells you how out of touch they are.
If one of these loonies succeeds, people will just start killing random democrats. Basically every elected official would be fair game. Most government officials, too.
Note I AM NOT encouraging violence. Nor would I engage in the same. I am just stating the obvious that we’d basically have a civil war that would destroy our nation.
The response would be the deep state declaring marshal law, and that would foster more killings.
It would totally spiral out of control.
