Well, LA is a great big freeway. In a week or two all the stars that never were are parking cars and pumping gas.
That’s a shame, but not unpredicted. I remember SJ in the Silicon Valley 80’s but that’s forty years in the past. City fathers who planned on the basis of unlimited revenues forever and ever were warned and they didn’t listen.
LOL. San Jose has always been desolate after work is done. I was actually there for music in the park in July, and I was surprised by how much was going on.
I lived there in the 80s when the city invested something like a billion bucks in their downtown… and it worked. Downtown was bustling again. I’m saddened to see this result
Same with Memphis and it’s business district downtown. Everything is vacant and unoccupied. Beale Street is barely alive. The city owes those thanks to Graceland Tourists.
No one wants to know the way to San Jose anymore...not even Dionne Warwick.
There were two restaurants I visited in downtown San Jose and that was about it.

Bus all those Hatians to San Francisco and San Jose. Plenty of empty housing for them there, and a generous welfare state!!!
