A federal judge in Georgia on Thursday temporarily blocked the Biden administration's proposal to forgive federal student loans for nearly 30 million borrowers after a group of seven state sued.

According to the ruling from U.S. District Judge J. Randal Hall, the seven states that sued the Biden administration have established a valid case that's likely to prove the Department of Education lacks the constitutional authority to implement the student loan cancellation proposal.

Maybe Harris/Tiny Tim Tampon could start a GoFundMe Forgiveness Page. They should have “passed the plate” at their Kamarella Midnight Talent Show in Chicago last month.

A Hypothetical

Forgiving student loans could be along the lines of:

If the applicant has completed a STEM graduate degree,

or has successfully completed a trade school and obtained work in that trade for a mimimum of 4 years.

Cap the loan program at 3%...

Current loans? A no cost Refi at 3%

The gravy train approach is an obvious plan to buy votes.

Reparations? A 3% loan for an undetermined amount.

I am not in favor of either scenario, just thinking outloud.

Other than educational malpractice, there should be no student debt forgiveness. Any student loan debt forgiveness is theft from someone. The government should never be in the business of fixing other people poor life choices.

Biden has already forgiven millions in student loans. They’ll do it anyway.

“Any student loan debt forgiveness is theft from someone. “

So are all taxes that take from one to give to another. It is just government sponsored theft.

The only path to loan forgiveness should be six years active duty enlisted with two years in the Ready Reserve and two years IRR. Or, commissioned for eight years, with two year Ready Reserve obligation. Doctors and Nurses could also work for the VA, Department of the Interior (Reservations) or the State or Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Most serious degrees are no longer four year programs. Most take 5-6 years to complete. To get student loan forgiveness another possibility would be 1.5 years military or civil service for every year of college. This is not forgiveness, it is a bargain between tax payers and the person who took the loans. Serve this country or State for a lengthy period of time and we (the taxpayers) will shoulder your debt. Monthly payments on the loan are not required during the period of service. There will be a signed contract, failure to complete the program and the debt has to be paid back in full. If a person is medically unable to complete the contract, due to no fault of their own, taxpayers will absorb all or a portion of the debt based on years served and medical condition. If unable to physically or mentally complete the contract due to your own negligence, debt has to be paid in full. If for other reasons, no fault of your own, you cannot complete the contract, a determination will be made as to how much of your debt will be covered by taxpayers.

Absolutely. Taxes should be to run the government for things defined in the constitution. Everything else is theft.
