Yours truly is rarely to be found at the multiplex, but I guess it was spiritually impossible for me not to go see the new Reagan film, given that Bob Dylan recorded a special tune for it (Cole Porter’s “Don’t Fence Me In”). It’s conceivable I would have gone out to see it anyway, but more likely would have waited to check it out some time in the future in the quiet and comfort of home.

I really enjoyed this - thank you for posting it!
I’ll be going by to see it sometime this week.
I’m glad this movie is doing well but the makeup looks like CGI and the inflections of speech are a little more strident than the original words which are easily heard on YouTube. I loved Ronald Reagan. I’m just not going to watch this movie.
Generally, I don’t usually watch biopics, with some exceptions (Lone Survivor, American Sniper) mainly because I already know the story, and movies to me are made for stories and escapism. That said, I ‘m glad this one got made and, by all reports, seems pretty favorable. This is one of those stories I know and so I’ll pass, but that’s not a critique.
Fence sitters need to see it but the entertainment element is lacking so they may need to be invited and their tickets paid for. Afterwards their questions can be answered.
Great movie about a GREAT MAN
I had the privilege of seeing President Reagan in person at a theater one time while he was in office, and I, too, had some issues with the darkness of Quaid's hair (Reagan had a few gray hairs) and various tiny nits, but I'm so very glad I saw the movie. There was just so much historic and visual information in it, a lot of it from newsreels and original tv tapings, that I'm sure you would really appreciate seeing the entire period summarized so well.
Saw the movie yesterday afternoon, it was an excellent film, inspiring.
Great movie, I encourage all to see! I saw Ronald Regan once, I was working in Crystal City trying to walk across US-1 to go home and was told by police that the road was closed and few minutes later a motorcade with Ronald Reagan came by me. I started to wave but remembered I was in uniform and saluted and got a nice salute in return from the president as he went by.
Finally saw it today. Really good movie.
