Of course it's bullshit. The acting Aurora police chief knows perfectly well that her men are outmatched and would suffer major casualties if they tried to confront the Venezuelan gangsters. Her most important priority is to avoid such an incident on her watch.
The mayor knows this as well. He can whine and complain in attempt to get Federal support, but he will get nothing from the State. He probably won't get anything from the Feds either.
They are getting a new police chief this week. I doubt that will help much. The new guy prides himself on "Enhanced Training" and "Community Involvement" and "Compliance with the Consent Decree" - which means "don't arrest Blacks or Hispanics if you can possibly avoid it".
The residents of Aurora are so screwed...
I never saw that movie but I did see the clip of the guy clinking the bottles together and it was truly creepy
I have read that whole scene was ad-libbed and the director liked it so much he included it.
That’s interesting information. The SoS would know the territory and would be better situated to conduct surveillance if they thought they needed to.
