Tesla owner Elon Musk issued a stark warning to Americans after his company, X, was banned by radical Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.

The Brazilian Supreme Court Justice said it banned X because Musk refused to name a legal representative in the country.

When I see comments that so and so is trying to shut down X what does that mean? I know places like Brazil can censor it in their area sort of, but is there some overseer that could stop X from being available to us?

I don’t mean court action, which wouldn’t surprise anyone following the lawfare against us, but besides that.

Hysterical nonsense doesn’t get anywhere, either.

Electing far-left Democrats is “better”? History doesn’t show that. You actually think this country would be better off now if Thomas and Alito weren’t on the Supreme Court for the last few decades and instead we had Dukakis and Kerry appointees in their place, and all of those numerous 5-4 rulings went the other way over the course of decades? We’d have been completely done a long time ago.

All it would take is for some red flag, or even real world, event to happen here for the current regime to declare martial law and do the same thing here.

Not even that. TikTok will be banned. So they can ban X because some people are posting Russian propaganda.

BTW, they can do the same thing to FR.

Putting people in prison without cause or due process is the stuff of dictatorships. It’s how they silence dissent (now called “misinformation”) and stay in power. Democrat party comes to mind.

Yep. It’s not important whether you like someone or not or what someone looks like.

Policies matter, leadership matters, and the future of the country and for our kids and grandkids matter

that needs to be the message

I’m curious — would X be blocked if you tried to access it through a VPN set to Brazil? Sincerely curious.

Thanks. Any provider that makes a move to do that would send us conservatives stampeding to a different provider. Hoping there would be.

X has me acclimated to free speech arguing with lying libs and I won’t go back.

“or even cut the cable tv.”

INTERNET. Boycott all online business in MASS for a week and it will scare the hell out of them that we actually have the strength to overcome the addiction and can actually live without it. Cut everything except common communication on the FR and a couple other sites who deserve to stay in business. Refuse to use the internet for ANY other purpose or transaction period.

“As you and millions like you vote for the bush league chamber of commerce worshiping republiCAN’T on the ballot.”

Where did you even get that? I personally hate the back stabbing establishment GOP communists on the hill. I didn’t vote for them nor would I.

Yell it the idiots who did, not me...

Did I say vote for the democommie?
There are other options on the ballot....
But, to answer your question, at least with the democommie you know what you are getting.
They will stab you to your face, instead of sneaking around behind you and stabbing you in the back...

I'm seeing a surprising amount of online support for Brazil, including insistence that de Moraes is not political, that Musk deserves what is coming to him because X doesn't police content that scares liberals, and that free speech is too dangerous to be allowed, anyway.

I figure government-paid posters are generating most of it, but it will - as intended - fool the inattentive.

Why yes, there is. Recall a mention of a “kill switch” for the internet during the Obamanation years? If they steal the next election, they won’t even have to use the excuse “national emergency”. They’ll probably censor every thing with reckless abandon, like the typical totalitarian commies that they are and always have been.

OK. You are against voting for Republicans.

I'm assuming you don't want anyone voting for Democrats.

Sitting at home and NOT voting is also not what you want.

Pray tell--what is your solution? You seem to have eliminated every possibility.
