Does he not think it might look odd hanging out with two teens who were not his students?
Of course not. Probably sees no irony in IDing everyone that enters a Kamala rally, either. I wonder how many were “turned away.”
And in other news 📰 🗞, water 💦 💧is wet.
It looks like his brother, Jeff Walz, might have something to add. Contrary to what Tim says.
RE: Walz was already politically active by that point
Walz: Wait a minute. You count Chinese Communist Party activity? That’s another matter then.
The list of what he hasn’t lied about is probably much shorter.
There’s a difference between lying and not telling the truth. Lying is an effort to display an act of deceit. Not telling the truth can be letting the listener misconstrue. I can tell you something is red. But if I don’t tell you what shade, you have to guess. I didn’t lie, I just didn’t provide you the whole truth.
Here’s a better example using his situaton:
There is a difference between E-9’s. In the Marine Corps, a master gunnery sergeant and a sergeant major are both E-9s, but the sergeant major has the higher rank. So it’s by position and slot filled under the unit manning document (UMD). And if you have no E-9’s in the unit and it is required then an E-8 can fill the slot. And that includes the “position” of command sergeant major. So if you have no E-9’s, then all of them will be covered by E-8’s if you have them. It isn’t a lie, it’s just not telling the truth and allowing the listener to misconstrue.
We have combat operations all over the world and have had for many years. Was there a combat operation going on while he was still enlisted? Yes. Did he ever use the weapon for anything even to carry a side arm? He did as he had to qualify annually on the range. Therefore he carried a weapon during combat (somewhere). He didn’t most likely shoot anyone other than a target, but he did what he said. Thus he obviously can’t be trusted with the smoke screen he provides for himself. In the military it’s called “talk around.”

That’s a lot of mental gymnastics to describe a couple of his lies. He knew what he was doing when he repeatedly lied about his retired rank an he knew he never served in war. No self respecting veteran would consciously do what he did with respect to his service.
I carried an M-16 when I was in the Army back in 1969.
(One day, maybe two, only at the firing range while in basic training.)
Ride a million miles on the pony express as well
Probably recruiting them for his lgbt teen club. What did they grow up to be?
His brother could spill the beans on this freak.
Kamala is stealing valor as a McDonald’s fry girl. There’s video of Nancy admitting her involvement with the Jan. 6 National Guard. So many lies from the Ds.
IOW, Hillary dodged bullets because bullets were indeed flying around somewhere in the world that day.
Bronze star and bronze star with V
If you served during the Vietnam war you were a Vietnam era veteran but there is a big difference in serving state side and in country
I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, we were subject to mortar and rocket attacks but I never went outside the wire and carried a weapon
Like so many polititians they love to “embellish “
One of the greatest and there were many during bash Vance interview when waltz service was brought up and Vance brought up the issues and bash said they “corrected “ the issues and Vance said yes they did after they were caught also the misspoke vs lied exchange
Nothing like that happened during bash/harris campaign ad
If, pray God, Walz does not become VP, his political career in Minnesota is toast. His last campaign for Governor portrayed him draped in all of these lies. Now finally Tampon Tim gets real scrutiny and exposes him as a total phony. I think even the DFL (Democrat Farmer Labor party…as Democrats are known in Minnesota) will shun him for any future political office.
“...served in war...”
I think that is the phrase most misused in our history. The last war we were in was WW II. We have had many conflicts, in most cases due to treaty committments like Korea and Vietnam. But the definitions of what constitutes serving in war has blurred and the politicians have fueled that.
“...lied about his retired rank...”
Watch how he words this one. There are three E-9 positions with one pay grade. However, there are a number of times an E-8 is required to step up to fill the slot. And all units are required to have a command sergeant major. So is it a stretch, yes, is it a lie...maybe. His last position may have been filling that slot. And because he may have been filling the slot upon retirement, it isn’t exactly a lie...exactly. Just depends upon the wording. Did he retire an E-9? No. Did he retire in the slot, possibly. You were eloquent using the words mental gymnastics. In the business we called it talk around. Blurred.

“I carried an M-16 when I was in the Army back in 1969.”
As did I, brother (and a few other things). And you are correct in your assessment concerning Walz’s situation. So you carried a weapon during a time of armed conflict. You should run for office if that’s all that it requires. That’s all he’s doing. And you are probably better qualified.

“...Hillary dodged bullets because bullets were indeed flying around somewhere in the world that day.”
Absolutely. Think of all the people that were around during the Hatfields and the McCoys that never were recognized.

“Nothing like that happened during bash/harris campaign ad.”
The art of misdirection.

If someone lies to you, do you then trust them? If you do, you are being naive.
