American wonder weapon: $100 million dollar F-35. According to Austin, only 29% are able to get off the ground at a time. When they do they 21 hours of maintenance for every hour of flight.
Russian wonder weapon: In response to Uke drones, Russians introduce the “turtle tank”. Ruskies weld $100 worth of scrap angle iron and sheet metal around the tank. Half the time it works. General Dynamics could do the same thing. The difference being GD would pull the Abrams off the line, send it back to Lima where they’d weld on new angle iron. Of course GD would do this for $2million a pop.
The US military used to be quick on its feet too. I had a welding instructor in mid 70s. He was one of the guys doing this at Normandy.

Russia is accomplishing the same things I’ve pointed out. What they have not done is waste the lives of their soldiers. It takes longer but Ukraine has lost.
You guys think Zelinski and Biden have some plan for “next” month. The US has become a warmonger economy and political class. We cannot survive without never-ending wars. Overextended in Ukraine, tied up in the Mid-East and constantly hyping a war with China. The only thing the US currently offers the world is coups, wars, and sanctions. The responsiblity that came with the collaspe of the Soviet Union was squandered by political class bought and paid for to promote war and division of our own country.

This is a managed destruction of Germany first, and Ukraine second. Everything is emotion coming from Ukraine and the West. Emotion, the will, 10-year plans, and all the BS spouted is not matched on the battlefield.
I don’t think anyone ever talked about the political calculations of Brics actually holding Russia back from destroying Ukraine, which has become a public issue now for Russia as they navigate their allies and economic partners who demand a higher standard of conduct of war than NATO, e.g., total destruction of cities and water, electric, bridges, etc. The Brics see’s themselves as the next system born out of the ashes of the mess Washington has created.
Russia is achieving every goal they set out to achieve. Their military buildup has been much faster than the west believed possible, and they have shown restraint as they build a more powerful army, not only capable of defeating Ukraine with minimal losses, but deture NATO from involvement.
The East West divide is real. As assets flow from the West, Russia, India and Chiina are building up the financial system and militaries to maintain peace in the face of an American that lost it’s way.
The only true mistakes in my analyses are that Russia has not used what they built up in Ukraine as fast as they created a bigger military. Putin has prevented NATO intervention to this point which I thought they would be in Ukraine faster - and invading Russia by NATO backed forces in an Act of War not yet addressed by Russia who plays the long game. The West is on the political clock. Russia is not using their full military potential in Ukraine and they have been very measured in a slow, methodical fashion destroying the AFU. When the final body count is in, many people in the west will be shocked by the lopsided nature of Ukrainian losses.
By the end of this war, lets compare notes on what happened. Barring a negotiated settlement and not a battlefield settlement. My assumptions are that it is a battlefield settlement. A political settlement means it ends.

I really have not made any other than how long Ukraine will be in kursk. As cronos said, its impossible to know from where we are as to whats going on. I pray for a just peace.
