Some Secret Service snipers put in place to protect former President Donald Trump during Saturday’s rally were positioned so that a tree may have screened Thomas Crooks from them as he rained bullets on Trump’s rally, according to a new report.
CBS said that based on lines of sight at the Butler, Pennsylvania, venue where the rally was held, a tree near the building where Crooks positioned himself may have screened him from one of two sniper teams who were positioned to respond to threats such as the one Crooks represented.

Find the tree planter and you have the culprit.
That’d upset the tree huggers. Just station LE at the tree.
Sniper Team 1’s view really was partially hidden by the trees, but I think Sniper Team 2 had a clear view all the time. Video shows that Team 1’s rifles never caused a recoil. They were never fired. Team 1 is not the one that shot Crooks.
Troublesome question: did the on-scene supervisor wait until Crooks had already fired to give the OK for Team 2 to take him out?
How the Hell did they leave Trump up on Stage?
I’m quite sure that could have been easily determined before the SS com stream was deleted as a protection from proposed investigations.
Everyone and especially the sniper teams are wired for sound and are not sitting their uncontrolled or in isolation from the big picture.
What appears to be a massive screw up, could just as easily been a hang loose until the perp has his chance and then react. Either way the perp is dead and maybe someone much more important is also conveniently dead, and very nearly was except for divine intervention.
This entire scenario is evidence that there are no coincidences. Especially where Presidential security is envolved.
