No, he is just recalling what good research here used to be like, back when FR was much bigger and better at analyzing the news than today, where it is now more of an ankle biting site full of unchallenged gossip and innuendo rather that of facts. People here used to source just about everything that they asserted, and would be called to do so whenever they just started embellishing heavily due to bias.
