Corey Comperatore died.
If I were his wife and daughters, I don’t think I could take people talking about divine intervention.
Yes, I have thought of that. If God spared one person He should/could have spared two people. That is how I would feel if I were them.
They are talking about Trump, who also got the go fund me started for those families which is at $2m.
God surely has His reasons for taking Corey, as He does for allowing all sorts of tragedies and injustices. biggest reason is He hopes it will draw more people to realize they’re need for Him and not all the earthly stuff.
Maybe Divine intervention that day was if Corey didn’t shield them, one or both would have been hurt or worse?
God is intervening for people all the time. Many of us would be dead already if God had not intervened in the last day.
He causes our every breath.
Yes. The other side of the coin,”Why was Corey taken?”
It’s called faith. Death is around every corner. God is keeping me alive through cancer treatment to see these Aholes pay.
“If I were his wife and daughters, I don’t think I could take people talking about divine intervention.”
If I were his wife and daughters, I would be praising God that He chose to perform one of his rare and remarkable miracles to save the United States of America. I would sincerely hope I would never begrudge someone for receiving the extraordinary, unusual blessing of a miracle from God. God creates us with free will; he does not constantly interfere with that. When he does, it’s probably for a big purpose, and we should all try to be understanding of that, no matter how hard our own personal tragedies are.
Corey Comperatore was a firefighter. He could have died a horrible death on any regular day at work.
Instead he lived until this weekend, and had the instinct (and honor) to protect his wife and daughter even if it killed him.
“Greater love hath no man,” and all that.
I’m a fine one to talk, because there was no one more bitter than me after my own father died. But I have come to realize that good is as big a mystery as evil, and I just have to trust.
It’s a fair point, and gets at why I think you have a light touch when it comes to attributing things to divine intervention.
