That’s for sure, just go back to 2016 when many of us switched to Trump on FR and the Cruz supporters especially were beside themselves with anger and trashing everything about Trump.
My first choice was Scott Walker with Ben Carson as my second choice.
I figured that Trump was in it for the fun at first. When he kept on winning I realized he was serious about it and started listening carefully to what he was saying. One thing stood out, he did not hold people like me in contempt. After the past two candidates the GOP ran that was quite refreshing. Was he the calm steady guy that I tend to go for? Nah. He was brash and bold. Even flamboyant. But sometimes calm and steady does not do it. Sometimes you need a firebrand.
Like I said, he won me over.
