It’s good to know about things that make you different. It makes you careful.

Knowing that your stomach is not where it would normally be means that you have to keep all emergency personnel aware of that fact if they treat you when you’re unconscious. An allergy bracelet can be engraved to include that information.

Knowing for certain that you tend to miss words when you read is also excellent knowledge. It means that you KNOW all important contracts need to be read by a lawyer. And you KNOW that you need to have a close family person read all the small print in how to take a new medicine and what side effects to look out for.

No one needs to be alone in dealing with issues. Danger comes when you don’t KNOW about issues. You’ve been blessed by being warned so that you can now take care better. Good for you!

I turn 80 next month. Still mentally 25. Just can’t convince my body to feel 25.

Twilight is a good time. It’s when the blue jays and cardinals come out to feed, so it’s when I first put out the peanuts for the furry and feathery friends. May twilight be another great time in our lives.

It makes you careful.

It might make most people be cautious or careful, but that doesn't describe me. By all rights I should have died many times over due to the foolish stunts I have pulled, but survived. I've never broken a bone or received a scratch. I did receive a few stitches when a bottle fell off a shelf and exploded behind me lodging a healthy piece of glass in my left rear calf.

While it never dawned upon me until I got much older that I began to realize that someone had to be looking over me. Because I have had some very close calls, where inches made the difference of escaping either severe injury or even death.

Thinking back makes me shudder to realize how close I came to real danger, but never really gave it much thought back at the time these events played out.
