It’s good to know about things that make you different. It makes you careful.

Knowing that your stomach is not where it would normally be means that you have to keep all emergency personnel aware of that fact if they treat you when you’re unconscious. An allergy bracelet can be engraved to include that information.

Knowing for certain that you tend to miss words when you read is also excellent knowledge. It means that you KNOW all important contracts need to be read by a lawyer. And you KNOW that you need to have a close family person read all the small print in how to take a new medicine and what side effects to look out for.

No one needs to be alone in dealing with issues. Danger comes when you don’t KNOW about issues. You’ve been blessed by being warned so that you can now take care better. Good for you!

I turn 80 next month. Still mentally 25. Just can’t convince my body to feel 25.

Twilight is a good time. It’s when the blue jays and cardinals come out to feed, so it’s when I first put out the peanuts for the furry and feathery friends. May twilight be another great time in our lives.

It makes you careful.

It might make most people be cautious or careful, but that doesn't describe me. By all rights I should have died many times over due to the foolish stunts I have pulled, but survived. I've never broken a bone or received a scratch. I did receive a few stitches when a bottle fell off a shelf and exploded behind me lodging a healthy piece of glass in my left rear calf.

While it never dawned upon me until I got much older that I began to realize that someone had to be looking over me. Because I have had some very close calls, where inches made the difference of escaping either severe injury or even death.

Thinking back makes me shudder to realize how close I came to real danger, but never really gave it much thought back at the time these events played out.

GREAT JOB LARA TRUMP. /s

Oh, no, the anti-GOPe nominee's RNC for the first time supported the anti-GOPe nominee's platform. NeverTrumpers hardest hit.

Cry more.

Maybe you have lower expectations of the work product produced by people supporting Trump. I want Trump to win, and I want to see that the work done on his behalf is of good quality, reflects a winning strategy, and reflects his platform, the promises he is making. This document is sloppy and does not do that. It embarrasses him. Clearly Trump does not have control of the RNC yet.

As usual, when the choice comes down to Trump or conservatism, FR choses Trump.

Riiiight.

You speak for him, obviously.

Which is why whenever I want to know how Donald Trump feels about anything, I rush to read your posts on the internet.

Be realistic. Granted this document is not that important but does a sloppy document help Trump? Do you accept sloppy work, does your boss? I'm sorry but I spent 19 years in DC, a mix of DoD and other mostly government contracting, and throughout my 40+ years of work, sloppy work like this was never acceptable, was embarrassing, and sometimes led to people being fired.

Again, I want Trump to win, I want that platform to accurately and consistently support his agenda and guide the down-ballot Republicans. Instead, it is easily dismissed both as sloppy and because that sloppiness leaves some items as inconsistent even within the document.

All we are disagreeing with here is whether the doc should have been done right the first time to reflect a winning, got-it-together Trump or not.

I doubt it'll get much attention at the convention, I recognize it is likely not a concern for a lot of people, but when we start accepting sloppy work, it will get repeated. Trump needs to put good, experienced experts in roles to deliver his success without embarrassment.

>>Look, he pointed out, “Everybody I know realizes the country can’t take four more years of Joe Biden. At the same time, the process matters, the platform matters.”>>

No it doesn’t. And no it doesn’t.

These people are all GOPe Swamp filth. As a FReeper above noted that one person being talked of as having a lot of years in Congress . . . explains everything.

These People Are Swamp Filth. Any political credentials disqualify.

Now there is one matter here of CRITICAL IMPORTANCE.

These are the people who become Electors. They will lobby in their states to be Electors for their state when the counting starts and the results are sent to the Senate in early January.

THESE ARE THE FAITHLESS ELECTORS to fear. A close EV race can be flipped by faithless Swamp filth. The vetting process of Electors should not award any weight to a long-standing reputation and history of participation in Republican party politics.

The Lara Trump RNC has to select Electors much more carefully than looking at their past.

Exactly, Lara Trump needs to exert clearer Trump MAGA control over the RNC and its electors. That’s been my point in this thread all along. Thank you for bringing us all back to this point.
