Despite my criticism of "The West Wing" liberal fantasies, I can't get upset by Martin Sheen since I have a fond memory of him. Years ago I was at a Santa Monica buffet joking around and telling funny stories to my acolytes between gobbles on my food. A table away sat Martin Sheen doubled over in laughter over my shtick. So I can't criticize a fan of my humor despite any political differences.

Life is better when we have Republicans in the real White House, and Democrats in the fictional one.

The The West Wing fake president also loved quoting Old Testament laws to shame Christians in front of a crowd.
He would often quote punishments in Leviticus as examples of how evil and stupid Christians are today. Of course He was a "good" (liberal) Christian.
Apparently he was too self-righteous to learn that Jesus brought a new covenant from God, and, Christians were never "under" the law of Moses to begin with.

I had a friend who watched that show, and just wished that we could have a Jed Bartlet as president. Everything in the show was fantasy, but people actually wanted to believe things worked like that.
