Only people who don’t understand math are in favor of a wealth tax.
Nearly two decades ago, the Washington Post wrote the following:
Old Money, New Money Flee France and Its Wealth Tax
By Molly Moore
July 16, 2006
Eric Pinchet, author of a French tax guide, estimates the wealth tax earns the government about $2.6 billion a year but has cost the country more than $125 billion in capital flight since 1998.
Only someone who doesn’t understand math would think that that was a good idea.

LOL- too funny- Great plan France!
California won’t let you leave... even if you’ve already left!
The idiot economist(s) that’s pushing this plan will probably get a Noble Prize.
LOL- Yep- probably will- The prize is such a joke now- it’s basically a lottery giveaway to the most corrupt, most useless now
Voting With Their Feet — The most effective elective strategy but expensive!
This is why communism can’t coexist with Capitalism. Capital will always flee to Capitalism. This is why they built the berlin wall.
That would include most members of 'the press' since few of them took math classes past the basic high school level.
Or those that see the tax as primarily a tool of social control and punishment rather than a revenue collection tool.
I would be willing to bet that the 2.6 billion was just more modest income people who can’t afford to move things offshore to get around the tax.
