On Morning Joe, 'Sharp As A Tack' Biden Hack Now Says Dems Right To Panic!
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 07/02/2024 3:04:37 PM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

A year ago at this time, Eugene Robinson embarrassed himself. Pushing back at suggestions that Biden was badly showing his age, we caught the Washington Post columnist and MSNBC analyst claiming that Biden is not merely sharp, but "sharp as a tack."

But the truth has finally caught up with Robinson. Biden's disastrous debate performance left him and other members of the liberal media with no place to hide. And so, on today's Morning Joe, Robinson sang a very different tune:

"I have been coming on this show for a long time. I am a long-time critic of Democratic bedwetting. I think it's crazy a lot of the time. I think this is different ... I think a lot of Democrats were shocked by what they saw Thursday night. I think this is potentially a really big problem for the Democratic party, for Biden's re-election campaign. And I think Democrats are right to send up the alarm."

So, Gene. You’re one of the MSM’s most clued in, connected member. So when you told viewers that Biden was “sharp as a tack,” weren’t you lying?

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.

People can act like sheep. Once the dominoes start falling look out.

Dems don’t like to look bad or get caught. They expect competent liars.

Biden has been looking like an idiot for years but has been usually able to read his lines and sign his bills. Open Kimono time now.

Right. They all didn’t know. When he tripped going up the stairs to the plane three times, no one suspected. Or when he jabbered gibberish all those occasions, no one suspected. Or when he spoke to those marines facing the wrong way, no one suspected. Or had to be hand held and led off the stage because he wandered off stage the wrong direction, no one…do I need to go on?

They will dump Biden if they decide he cannot win. The fact that the check engine light is blinking on his forehead will not be the reason. Winning is all that matters.

Part of me is admittedly enjoying watching the left unravel in true panic. At the same time, two things are worrying me. The first- we ought to be very wary as a cornered animal is dangerous and unpredictable. Two- who the hell is actually running our country? I know the usual answers Barry, Soros, etc. But can it be as scary and simple as Jill Biden? Is she the one behind the curtain? I’ve read enough to know she’s involved in all aspects- but when it comes to decisions that potus should make, who makes them? I remember Biden saying he didn’t know what’s in the papers- he just signs them...

“who the hell is actually running our country?”

That information is classified/restricted access/need to know.

You have no need to know.

President Eisenhower explained it in his farewell address:

https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/eisenhower001.asp

Excerpts:

“This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience.

The total influence — economic, political, even spiritual — is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development.

Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society....

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.

We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.

In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields.

In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research.

Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity.

For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.”

Joe Biden is a sick man. He is pushed into playing the role by his ignorant wife. For the first time I am really concerned for our country. Who has been making the decisions about the issues our country has and will be confronted with. We need someone that will take control and clean out the usurpers of our government.

Who can forget this image calculatedly posted by drjill, seen sitting at the presidential desk on Air Force One? This is when we found out Jill is a “foreign policy expert” who is making key decisions WRT American families’ safety and security.

A few months after her husband took office, Jill Biden posted this image of herself on social media, sitting at a desk aboard Air Force One, looking very important. A flight jacket with the presidential seal is draped over the back of her chair, to leave you in no doubt about the power behind the throne.

“Prepping for the G7,” she wrote on her @FLOTUS “US Government Official” account, under the photo in which a scholarly “Dr. Jill,” wearing reading glasses, pen in hand, is studying a thick ring binder of notes. Are these classified notes? Does drjill have security clearance to view these?

As the 72-year-old wife of the oldest president in history, the effrontery of this spousal usurper on her first overseas trip was a portent of liberties to come.

Three years later, as her husband, now 81, grows increasingly befuddled, Dr. Jill is stepping up, doing solo campaign visits and TV appearances, weighing in on politics and polls as if it were she who is running for office.

And now we hear that the first lady has been pressuring her husband on Israel’s war on Hamas with these words: “Stop it. Stop it now, Joe.” At a Ramadan event at the White House last week, Joe Biden reportedly told attendees about “Jill’s sophisticated geopolitical advice.”

A true egghead. The Dems just buy votes. That is the only reason people vote for them. The officeholders take the vig and squeeze as much money they can out of the government.

“immense military establishment and a large arms industry”

This no longer applies. Times change. I suggest you update your database to reflect the situation 63 years on.
