With all the back and forth about replacing Biden, no one seems to be talking about ballot access and how they would address it - if Biden was replaced.
As of now a few states have closed the window on adding a new name to the ballot. The deadlines have passed. By the time the DNC rolls around - most states will have had their deadlines pass.
Which means Joe Biden's name will remain. in some cases, even in death.
So, wouldn't you think this is a major issue? No one is talking about it through.
You need to see what those statutes say about the death or withdrawal of a candidate.
“Once again, you don’t vote for President or Vice President.”
and yet, the names of the Electors don’t appear on the ballots: the names of the candidates appear on the ballots, thus the candidate names HAVE to be changed ...
“I believe they can transfer the money to whomever they want.”
absolutely wrong: the FEC absolutely prohibits candidates from “transferring” campaign contributions amongst each other willy nilly ... the ONLY person other than Biden who can benefit from the Biden/Harris campaign donations is Harris ... period ...
1) In some States, they do.
2) In some States the language is "Electors for John Doe and James Roe".
3) Regardless, you're voting for Electors, not a Presidential candidate.
Wonderful news, if true.
I don’t know the rule; merely repeating what a talking head on Fox said.
Actually I don’t think he can donate them to another candidate. He can donate to political parties at the federal and state level. Kamala may be able to use them because she is a candidate on the ticket but not 100% sure.
they left biden in this long on purpose, so they could manufacture another crisis to rig the election results by.
According to John Hinderaker over at Powerline blog, you are correct. Though he, too, does not claim to be an expert on campaign finance law. I was under the impression that a retiring or withdrawing candidate could donate his war chest to another candidate. He cannot keep it for personal use.
Probably part of Jill’s argument for the promotion. She is, after all, Mrs. “Joseph Biden”.
Indeed, the judge ruled that Lautenberg could replace Torricelli because the voters "deserved a competitive election."
The judge ignored the fact that there was a competitive election and Torricelli was losing. He dropped out for "political" reasons and the judge gave the Democrats a mulligan.
That's why many states don't allow a candidate to drop out and be replaced simply because they are losing in the polling -- what they call for "political" reasons.

Thanks for the info. There’s always a judge when they need one.
You are absolutely correct. I made the mistake of going by memory.
