No one is addressing ballot access if Biden is replaced.

With all the back and forth about replacing Biden, no one seems to be talking about ballot access and how they would address it - if Biden was replaced.

As of now a few states have closed the window on adding a new name to the ballot. The deadlines have passed. By the time the DNC rolls around - most states will have had their deadlines pass.

Which means Joe Biden's name will remain. in some cases, even in death.

So, wouldn't you think this is a major issue? No one is talking about it through.

Have no fear, the rats will find a judge that will allow them to do anything they want.

They cant get rid of Biden..that would disenfranchise MILLIONS of voters who voted for the demented fool..the Dems wanted this, they wanted Biden all in, no primaries no debates no nothing..they went all in for Biden..the ONLY way they can get rid of him now is to either 25th Amendment him which would be admitting that this fool is senile, or having him croak

Just like they did in New Jersey a few years back.

I bet the states or the courts will force ballots to be reprinted. But time will be short to accomplish that since the first ballots get cast September 16th or 20th.

Yeah. I remember when they had to replace a Senate candidate just weeks before the election and a judge ruled it was “ in the interest of democracy” or some such bilge.

The biggest problem will be in the increasing number of states where they legally require electors to vote for the candidate to whom they’re pledged, or face consequences ranging from replacement to imprisonment.

A lot of states stiffened the rules after 2016, when two Trump electors and five Clinton electors voted for someone else.

Biden could release all his delegates or electors to a chosen candidate. He has a big campaign war chest. Under FEC rules he can only use those funds for seeking Federal office, or donate them to another candidate. He is holding a lot of cards right now.

It will be interesting to see what Dr. Jill’s price is. No one is getting past her. She is the decider.

I remember when they had to replace a Senate candidate

Lautenberg, New Jersey. He was indicted (and subsequently convicted). it looked like the Dems were doomed to lose a seat, but the judge saved their bacon.

Nobody has been nominated at a convention.

How can you “replace” something that does not even exist?

Or as BB already concluded...”DEMS STICK WITH BIDEN AS IT WOULD BE A REAL PAIN TO REPRINT THESE BALLOTS THEY ALREADY FILLED OUT”

Once again, you don't vote for President or Vice President.

You vote for your State's Electors.

Your State's Electors vote for President and Vice President.

You may be quite certain that if your State sends Biden's Electors to the Electoral College, they'll vote for whatever turd the democRATs want.

Simple... NO ONE has been nominated yet. Biden is the presumptive nominee, but not the actual nominee. The actual nomination is determined by a vote of the delegates. Typically this is a rubber stamp exercise because people become delegates through a documented history of being an ass kiss to whoever the party tells them to vote for. Which until a week ago was Biden. Now? Who knows.

They will simply change the law. Rules. Whatever it takes. It’s a minor obstacle for Rats.

If you are registered to vote in your state/county/precinct
I suspect the normal process will apply. If it is Biden and
Harris then nothing much will change. If Biden becomes unable
to fulfill the job I’m not sure what all the procedures would be.

I have been speculating for some time that Biden/Harris ticket
if they win then Biden will step down at some point and Harris
becomes the President. Depending upon the timing of that type
event Harris would full fill if Biden was removed. She would
then be able to run for re-election. Timing again would be
the deciding factor if she could run for one or two full four
year terms and serve if elected.

There are probably a lot of differing rules both state and in
federal regulations.

They can't decide what they want to do, and part of that is probably because there's at least three factions, all playing out different scenarios.

The Biden camp is digging in, trying to stay on the ticket. They have the most leverage because Joe already has the job. Then you have the Obamas, who are likely the most savvy of the groups behind the scenes. Based on news reports, Newsome and Whitmer are their choice for a new ticket. Then there's kamala Harris, who has no real leverage, but she does carry a key Democrat demographic.

Whenever you see the media calling Joe out, it's Obama. Same with long time Democrats. And by the looks of it, they're starting to really ramp it up.

Yep, and other “boss” judges (like Juan Merchan’s bosses) will just sit back and watch it happen. They will let a complete travesty of justice and ruination of the law happen and do nothing about it.

According to two state laws, I want to say one was Georgia(?), but the deadline for getting a candidate on the ballot for the general election came prior to the DNC convention in August. They passed a law in each state allowing a one time exception. Ballot access, however it appears, won’t be an issue. It’ll be Big Mike in November.
