California needs his tax money to pay for the free healthcare given to the “refugees” and he’s leaving? How selfish of him.
“the problem with his native state is its current governor”
No, the problem is MUCH MUCH deeper than that. Governors come and go, but the legislature turns over slowly and people last a lot longer there. You have a single-party state in both the upper and lower houses and not a single Republican holding any state-wide office. The proposals and legislation that the legislature puts out are absolutely insane.
Which ought to scare the socks off us, but it's probably true. The two most liberal Kali ex-pats I know won't go back. And they stubbornly deny that their own politics caused it.
My dad was in the Navy when I was growing up. We moved from Pensacola, FL to Oak Harbor during the summer just before my senior year of high school. While it was initially emotionally difficult, I got over it in a hurry. Went from a school of over 3,400 to one of 753. I was a basketball stud, so I fit in pretty well because there was a summer league.
Adam should move this summer so his kids can make new friends now unless they are going off to college.
Good for him.
Probably end up in Florida....it seems to be the go to place for crazyfornia and new dork refugees.
I heard him on a podcast earlier this month. The guy has a great “how I started” story. He showed that he was tenacious, persistent, creative, and patient. He knew where he wanted to be and found a way to get there using his skill as a boxing coach, of all things.
That segment should be played to every high schooler in the country.
Adam Carolla is cool unlike his former coworker, Jimmy Kimmel.
