It’s also a reflection of the weak Republican house leadership at the time (Kevin McCarthy, Steve Scalise and Tom Emmer). Nancy Pelosi would never have tolerated that type of dissent in her party.
“Nancy Pelosi would never have tolerated that type of dissent in her party.”
So the question is in a “free” republic, should political parties be dictatorial or should representatives of the people be independent actors particularly if their constituents disagree with the party line.
The reason Nancy Pelosi could avoid that sort of dissent is the Media were entirely on her side.
Change the Media from being a part of the Democrat/Progressive/Deep state cabal. Put them at the beck and call of Mike Johnson (speaker of the house), and you would have party discipline such as Nancy Pelosi had.
Perhaps...but, despite the comments by “Citizen Free Press”, their votes in this case did not change the outcome. Move all of them out of the “Yes” column into the “No” column on this vote and it still would have passed.
“Without these votes, Bannon would not be facing prison” is simply not true.
