Any author of fiction can be sued.

Jones did not just author fiction. He named real people. He claimed they were actors. He lied repeatedly about real people in a real situation.

As I understand it, this is what he was sued over. When you say real people were actors, and their children were not killed, in the face of innumerable documented facts, it is a matter of libel which you can be sued over.

As I understand it, Jones wasn't sued because of fictions. He was sued because he made false claims about real people.

He wasn't authoring fiction, he was spouting his belief that was incorrect. As far as I know that is not a crime, otherwise, I see a lot of crime being committed here. which most likely might have even been done by me, but not with malicious intent.

What happened to A1?

Nothing as far as I know. Has it, or its creators, been sued? 🤣
