If the jury returns a unanimous "not guilty" verdict the judge will probably just issue a directed "guilty verdict.""

And yeah, I know there won't be a unanimous "not guilty" verdict.

Merchan said that they did not have to agree on the predicate crime, but they still have to be unanimous for a verdict.
