Student protestors at college campuses nationwide, united by their outrage at Israel’s actions in Gaza, can rightly be described as diverse. Despite the masks, it’s clear that they come from different racial backgrounds, and their views range from the belief that Israel should give up on its war effort to the conviction that Israel should be destroyed entirely.
But one thing is not especially diverse about the protests: the campuses on which they’ve been happening.
Many of the most high-profile protests have occurred at highly selective colleges, like Columbia University. But since the national media is famously obsessed with these schools and gives far less attention to the thousands of other colleges where most Americans get their postsecondary educations, it’s hard to know how widespread the campus unrest has really been.
We at the Washington Monthly tried to get to the bottom of this question: Have pro-Palestinian protests taken place disproportionately at elite colleges, where few students come from lower-income families?
The answer is a resounding yes.

There were protests at Portland State University, Oregon State University, and the University of Oregon. Nothing like the big illegal occupations, but protests nonetheless.
I think the answer is no. The u of Oregon caved to the terrorisr supp”s. Oregon is a common state uni, although better than many.
“Elite Colleges” has become a perfect oxymoron.
The Left, smartly, does ALL of their work at elite schools. Pretty much all indoctrination takes place there, because the Left, rightly, knows that the Elite schools are where the DECISION-MAKERS come from, be it in corporate America or government. The other schools only create worker-bee’s.
remember all the crisis actor wanted adds years back ?
now you what acting jobs they all got
And pop culture.
These “elite” colleges are targeted by tons of money from foreign enemies. Next, following the money come grim faced “students” (i.e. agents of influence) assigned w/spreading of anti-American venom among naïve and ignorant minds of American kids. The resulting product: systemic & delusional incompetence w/an anti-American, staged, planned destabilizing “protests”.
It wouldn't surprise me if they're targeted by the Russians. Putin was a former KGB agent. He thrives on this kind of $#it.
This kind of thing should NEVER be allowed in ANY school in this country, political stuff like this should always be up for debate and other views but they are not. It's against everything Americans should hold dear. We've looked the other way and allowed this to happen to many of our students who sadly don't know any better. Now look where it's taken them, many are completely bigoted against an ally who should be valued, not mercilessly attacked with vicious anti American propaganda packed full of half truths, revisionist history and outright lies.
It's wrong, and there should be action taken to right the ship, so to speak.
Excellent point. AOC is 34 today. But don't be surprised if she runs for President in 2028.
