I was too! Though my sports were chasing girls and riding motorcycles. No time for that varsity shyt. They was mostly assholes anyhow. I don’t think that one sports “hero” from HS ever made anything out of himself. The only guy who made the news was kicked out for putting exploding light bulbs in the locker bays. He became some big muckity muck at JPL. So much for HD sports.

Ha ha! I was a late bloomer, pretty girls had no interest in me during HS. I was a live dummy at football practice. Made a mini-bike and a 3-wheel atv in HS shop classes. Girls didn’t care though.
Met my wife 5 years after school days, and she was a late bloomer too. Didn’t matter in the slightest to her that I wasn’t a HS sports ‘star’.
Had the prettiest wife at the 10 year HS reunion, and that hasn’t changed at every reunion since.
