To impeach the source, which goes to great lengths to hide itself:

I am grateful that The Cradle frequently quotes from the most reliable Israeli source Haaretz despite them having a certain far left bias

Hi. I’ve just encountered your site for the first time. You have some interesting articles BUT: I notice that you do not indicate who exactly is funding you and how. Your writers are also largely unidentified. That being the case, it leaves me unable to assess your political position because, let’s face it, no-one is ‘objective’! So please - be open about where the money comes from. Thank you.

Unfortunately, you do not care about human rights violations and deaths reported within Arab states, but only about the clashes with the West. It is evident you serve Arab imperialism through immogration.

Why is this website so amateurish? Many of the articles sound like they were written in a foreign language and translated with Google Translate. I can get the exact same news from PressTV, communicated more clearly and in fewer paragraphs.

******

Further, a quick scan of their headlines reads like “The allahu akhbar chorus” postings of about three FReepers (who know who they are).

So, take this publication with a mountain of salt.

The Cradle Rated Lean Left in January 2024 Independent Review

An independent AllSides reviewer opted to give The Cradle an initial rating of Lean Left.

While it demonstrated a clear opposition to Israel and the West, The Cradle did not appear to weigh in on other topics relevant to right-left U.S. politics. Site searches for “liberal,” “conservative,” “right-wing,” and “left-wing” yielded few results.

However, The Cradle frequently cast “far-right” Israeli politicians in a negative light. While the reviewer noted that this was likely due more to the region’s specific politics than any alignment with U.S. partisan polarization, The Cradle’s clear anti-Israel stance made it difficult to justify a Center rating.

The reviewer noted a general trend of coverage sympathetic to Arab Muslims and suspicious of Israel and the West. This could be seen in The Cradle’s extensive coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict, which often highlighted faults by Israel. Notable headlines included “Israeli police unable to verify ‘Hamas rape’ stories,” “Israel defender Alan Dershowitz named in Epstein court docs,” “Michael Hudson: A roadmap to escape the west’s stranglehold,” and “’Unprecedented’ surge in West Bank settlement activities.” The Cradle also published interviews with representatives of militant groups like Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Middle Eastern politicians like Iraqi ex-PM Adil Abdul-Mahdi.

The first referenced “journalist” of TheCradle.co is Pepe Escobar, whose wikkpedia entry includes the following:

“Escobar’s work has been scrutinized for its appearance in outlets identified by the U.S. State Department as part of Russia’s disinformation network, such as RT and Sputnik News, raising questions about the potential propagation of Russian propaganda.”
