First off, last election cycle we had a guy named Darren Bailey running for Governor. By far he was the only Republican in Illinois to show ANY Cojones! During the COVID mask debacle he told the Governor (PRITZKER) to SHOVE his mask and got escorted by the Illinois State Police off the General Assembly floor for no mask.
Darren Bailey is a Farmer and a MAN who will stand for what's right, Thank you Mr. Bailey! He is also Pro-Life, Pro-God, Pro-Police!
Now on the other hand the SANGAMON COUNTY REPUBLICANS thought it would be a better fit for the REPUBLICAN PARTY in Illinois to have a Black Guy who has voted DEMOCRAT HIS WHOLE LIFE, (Docs to Prove it) Plus of course he is Pro Black Lives Matter, Pro-Illegal aliens and Pro-TELL ICE TO leave the Illegal aliens alone and tell them to stay out of my town Richard Irvin, and they (Republicans) gave him LOTS of MONEY.

Bailey is a good and decent man - but he ran a terrible campaign for Governor - not sure who was running his campaign, but they had no clue how to beat Putzker.
Bailey may be a fine conservative but he’ll never win statewide office as long as Chicago is part of the state - the numbers are clear. That’s why the Democrat Governors Ass’n put so much $ behind Bailey to eliminate Richard Irvin in the primary, knowing a white male from downstate could never win the general election. Irvin, an urban black moderate R could have pulled enough black votes to beat Prickster.
