Happy 75th birthday to Billy Joel! What songs are you listening to in celebration?

these are the Times to remember. actually walked on a beach next to an old aquatarium on Clearwater beach with my girlfriend after it was closed and slated for demo. not a hotel but close enough that when I hear the song it takes me back. those WERE the Times to remember.
Well you got to start somwhere, I suppose. Every one who became big went through something like that in the early days.
Rosalinda’s Eyes
Tasty drums from Liberty on that one. Also the drum intro to "Get It Right The First Time".
Good thing he went solo.. heh..
I realize that many kids grow up today without life experience and that hurts them in the long run.
A friend of mine knew Bill Gates in the 70s and said the guy was a geek who couldn’t navigate a car through a toll booth. Of course, you could say, he doesn’t have to now, as he has a driver to do that for him. But look at his lack of common sense in the field of everyday life.
That’s about the only one I’d say I “like”. Piano Man is ok but bleh...the rest are ones I’ll push the button on when they come up.
Pressure.
I can’t stand most of his over-played schmaltzy stuff.
“Summer, Highland Falls” … Billy Joel’s best — and yet not one of his most popular tunes.
It’s between Piano man and New York State of Mind. I’m leaning towards the latter.
Two of my faves, as well.
Happy 75th Music Man.
That was on “Songs In The Attic”, one of my favorite live albums. You won’t listen to the studio versions again after hearing the live versions.
“The Ballad of Billy The Kid” is another great one from Songs In The Attic.
I met Lou Rawls, Pete Townsend, but have interviewed by phone Alice Cooper, Billy Joel, Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple, Felix Cavaliere of the Rascals, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, and multiple non-singers.
I like We Didn’t Start The Fire...but nothing else.
Billy can't stand it, neither, LOL!
Piano Man was his best. Did not appreciate his song about Catholic girls.
Downeaster Alexa is a great song.
My Life, which I still can’t resist and still don’t completely get
